Oh yeah. When a big thunderstorm hits the Spring Mountains, flash floods can spring up very fast - and the Strip is right at the bottom of the broad Las Vegas valley,

The parking garage at the Imperial Palace is part of the flood control system. Water flows under the hotel and through the garage before going back under ground. It’s pretty impressive when there is a big storm.
