Lt. Colonel Allen West answers a Marine's question.
YouTube ^

Posted on 11/12/2010 2:50:24 AM PST by Semper Mark

This short video clip was brought to my attention in an e-mail yesterday.

In this clip, Lt. Colonel Allen West is the only man on the panel willing to give direct answers concerning the threat of Islam to the United States.

My apologies if this has already been posted.

Here's the direct link.

What a stunningly straight answer. I have been waiting so long to hear a Representative who possesses enough courage to answer the tough questions with the hard truth. I look forward to his service in Congress, and even though I am not officially a constituent of his, I will be proud to call Col. West my Representative.

Thank you for posting this, and thank you to all the astute observers on the reaction of the other panelists. On the first viewing my attention was fully upon Col. West, and I missed the immediate and uneasy bodily distancing of the other panelists. Can anyone here tell me who these other decidedly less resolute gentlemen were?

Thanks again, and May God protect Col. West.

but every leader needs an Army_ I pray Mr.West’s army does not disperse when the stuff hits the fan.

I'm not sure LTC West's army has formed yet.

The Tea Parties filled a huge void on Nov 2, but there is so much of a vacuum left when considering the larger war (i.e. not just the 2010 election but the war against Islam and its Leftist minions).

All it takes is a few good men.

We are at the beginning, let us hope and pray it snowballs into real hope and change.

"Notice the weak and wimpy applause of the guy at the beginning of the video when the questioner identifies himself as a Marine."

A limp-wristed golf clap, at best. ;)

I can't. I'm off to work but I'll try to find out who they were later this evening.

Did anyone else happen to notice that as soon as he said it was a “geo-political movement” the guys on either side of him shrunk away as if they wanted to get as far away from him as possible?

He is absolutely correct but now will have to watch his back every day. Pray for Alan West.

Thanks for posting. Simply awesome. An answer unconstrained by political correctness, informed by a deep knowledge of history and current reality.

We need much, much more of that sort of thing.

Thank you. I will do some looking around myself, and will ping you if I find anything, or if someone here speaks up.

May God bless.

Have you read That Hideous Strength by CS Lewis? If not . . . do! It’s the third in a trilogy.

Got it. This was a discussion on national security, at The Hudson Institute’s First Annual Conference to Reclaim Liberty. It was held January 13th, 2010.

Here are the other panelists.

The moderator, Jed Babbin, was the first person you saw on camera. The gentleman sitting on the Colonel’s right, who found the question so funny, was Andrew McGaughey/McCarthey, (depending on which caption you read). He is listed as a Senior Fellow at The National Review Institute.
The panelist seated at the far left of the table, (as we view it), and the panelist who was first to offer a seriously intended response was Gen. Richard Myers, Former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
Gordon Chang, author of , “The Coming Collapse of China” was seated to the Colonel’s left.

Obama is such a spineless, ball-less pos puke who needs to be tried for treason and brought to justice.

I've got it and love it...and have read it over and over and over again (never get tired of it). I think Soros is the latest rendition of "The Head"...at least for the time being.;-)

Seriously though, it seems the Liberals are channeling someone or something, doesn't it?

It is a religion in that it is Satan's plan for world domination.

It is the common god, Lucifer, that connects Liberals and Muslims at the hip.
