Reason I ask is this article from The UK Telegraph which states that he is "teasing Barack Obama over drip, drip Wikileaks releases"...
So is the worst yet to come and why is he going after Obama?
I was always under the assumption that Assange was some kind of lefty, who would luv our Imam-in-Chief.
Maybe he’s just stupid.
Heard that on GB also.
I was making a joke.
Some non partisan, more openly socialists types consider Obama to be conservative. Partisan lefties tend to consider him either misguided or unable to over come the ‘evil republican obstructionists’.
In any case, WIkileaks has been a repository for all sorts of document dumps. I am really looking forward to these banking documents Assage has promised to reveal early next year....
This is the dump that he needs to really watch his back on.
How could you “extort” someone to do something they already approve?
I think there is a chance this Assange guy just hates all government secrets enough that he doesn’t care who it hurts or offends. I do think he is more interested in personal promotion than he should be.
He just seems creepy, he may not favor anyone over another..
I guess we will find out.
This will STOP when “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” gets enacted!! It’s the GAY BLACKMAIL.
death is a highly under rated motivator
I bet somewhere in the future it will be revealed that the whole Wikileaks expose’s were known by Obama, may not have been Obamas plans but Obama knew what and when the leaks were and what it would do, create smoke, mirrors, confusion and diversions.
No judge will allow "standing" to any American. The SCOTUS won't do squat. The Congress will make speeches. And the media will play reruns of All The President's Men to prove how this is all nothing in comparison.
Assange is a narcissist and is getting arrogant amd sloppy.
The only question in my mind is the depth of his organization. No doubt, if folks knew then the entire group and episode would be done with already.
Like the Pirate Bay trial - the risk in stepping in is in allowing a “movement” to crystallize around a martyr.
Do you have a link that works?
Yes, and living on a razor's edge for his efforts. Anyway. . .have been reading many Soros connected scenarios. All have a 'ring' of truth and interconnecting themes; but do not know where 'rubber actually hits road'.
This one in particular:
From Wayne Madsen (grain of salt handy) via Kenny's Sideshow...
Is WikiLeaks a CIA/Mossad Front?
It does affect national security because it dampens a free and candid exchange of views. Nothing which has been relesed is really surprising or even unexpected in the course of normal diplomatic affairs but how many diplomats, knowing what could happen, would be prepared to give their unvarnished views of local affairs overseas in future?
This most certainly does affect national security.
On another thread regarding George Bush’s Facebook interview, one poster claimed that the Bush White House had put together a “cyber attack” office. He further stated that the Obama White House has chosen not to make use of it.
In light of what you just said, it would appear that Julian Assange may have beaten Obama to the draw, or gotten the drop on him, as they say.
You hit the nail on the head.
“How could you extort someone to do something they already approve?”
Very true, but have you seen the homo lobby with their panties in a bunch lately? They’re furious that homos can’t serve openly yet.
