Cruz is for tighter screening and would allow Middle-Eastern Christian refugees to emigrate here because they are the ones truly facing persecution there:

‘That’s been true for decades, if not hundreds of years. And the President is engaged in sophistry when he ignores that, but he ignores the fact that ISIS consists of radical Islamic terrorists. Indeed, the President, astonishingly, argues the Islamic State is not Islamic. That is a level of Orwellian double speak that boggles the mind.’
