Okay folks, what happens from here? Seriously, is there a chance that the toothpaste can be put back into the tube with respect to healthcare, cap & trade, etc? I know there are many smart folks in here, and I'd love to hear your thoughts.

I too am ready to starve the beast. In fact, that may be a good way to begin, but remember that hungry animals can be vicious and they will be unpleasant to deal with.

What will happen is, the dollar bubble will burst. The country will be in such dire straits that people will riot and protest violently. Govt will step in to quell the violence, and clamp down on all dissidents. The left will smile, as they will then have the Republicans, conservatives under complete control. WE ARE SO EFFED. The only thing that can save us is God, or God’s hand working with the right humans.

If things go too far, the military has an obligation to uphold the Constitution.

As I understand it, the power to pass laws resides with the congress. Congress also has no authority to delegate it’s sworn duties to someone else. Refuse to comply on the grounds that no law has been passed.

How long have you been watching the political scene? What will happen is the same thing that happened during Clintons impeachment. The R’s will find just enough traitors to allow this to go on long enough to re-inaugurate Zero, and have enough left over to take the House back for the Democrats. The reason why, conservatives will be “gunnysacked” by the Republicans. We have maybe 2 years left to get things done. We don’t have time for a change of course. We need a “reset” NOW. Tell me who has the cojones to do that on the scene today?

Except the military will shoot anyone going against orders. They will also have the families of soldiers ON THE BASE, and available to be “held for their own protection”.

I hate to drag your post down from the begenning but honestly history offers no other solution beyond lots of people dying. Good people have to rise up and become far worse than the evil they must destroy. And the ones that survive can go home and help rebuild whats left.

You’re forgetting the many Christian revivals that have happened in America over the last 150 years.

A Christian revival is a reset button.

How long have you been watching the political scene?

I've always watched the political scene, but only closely (rabid news junkie grade) since about 1992. Blame it on Bubba. He pissed me off so bad, that it made me start looking for real answers, which of course, caused me to eventually escape the lib/Dem plantation.

The R’s will find just enough traitors to allow this to go on long enough to re-inaugurate Zero, and have enough left over to take the House back for the Democrats. The reason why, conservatives will be “gunnysacked” by the Republicans.

I know that the establishment Rs will try to pull the same old, same old on the incoming Tea-publicans, but they're going to soon find that those freshmen reps have the power of the people standing behind them.

Not to mention, a lot of the old guard know that the game has changed, and that they can't just snooker the youngsters they way they always have. Most understand that we're already gunning for their seats, and they're going to have to actually represent us for a change, or they're going to be history in short order.

Yes, we still have a tough fight ahead, but the inertia and the momentum is on our side. The midterm electoral wipe out was only an indicator of how rebellious the people really are. Things really have changed, and they are NOT going back to the way they were. Ever. There's been a true sea change, and the ruling class knows it.

Don't fall into the trap of under-confidence. We The People are going to win this fight.

We have maybe 2 years left to get things done. We don’t have time for a change of course. We need a “reset” NOW. Tell me who has the cojones to do that on the scene today?

Do you really have to ask?

We don’t yet deserve her like. If We The People trun back to The Lord, then perhaps He will grant our prayers for a Lady who consults His counsel in humulity. But we are not there as of this month.

Nothing I’d enjoy more than watching him get politically pummeled for the next two years.

Then, you're in for a real treat. Obama is already a miserable failure in the eyes of most people in this country. The midterm election results are a testament to that. As the pain of his radical agenda begins to set in even stronger over the next two years, he won't have anywhere to hide.

He's lost the House, and lots of his closest aides are leaving him. The rumor mill is swirling at a dizzying pace in DC, and everything he touches seems to instantly turn to crap in his hands. The world is laughing at him. The doting press is even softening on him. He didn't get the DREAM Act, which would have assured some hope of millions of new Democrat voters. His ultra hard-core base is pissed with him because Gitmo is still open, and Cap & Trade has not been made the law of the land. Independents and moderate Dems who gave him the affirmative action vote in 2008 are fleeing from him in droves, and he's invigorated the right majority like no one since King George III.

Now, you tell me what sort of year Barry's about to have .. LOL

We don’t yet deserve her...

I think she's here because we do. The majority of Americans have continued to keep faith with our nation's Founding Ideals, and we do not deserve the leftist pestilence that is upon us.

If we good Americans are guilty of anything, it's of investing too much trust in men to honor their oaths of office, and to adhere to the Constitution and those traditions which made this country great.

We have learned a harsh lesson, and have come very close to losing our country because of our naivete and our slumbering ways. But no more. It is over. We are now standing, and Sarah is leading the way back.
