January 16th, 1991 (20 years ago today) Desert Storm begins.

Driving out the West Gate of Post heading to a Boy Scout Camp Out site at Parker Canyon Lake when I heard the news.
I was in Japan on business, the Japanese asked me at dinner, What would America do if Saddam used Chemical or Biological weapons on US troops? My response was, we’d nuke them. ( probably not my most PC moment).
0300 January 17th in theater, 1900 January 16th in DC.
My son served in Desert Shield. Then later in Kuwait. I honor him here today.
We should honor all of those who served.
Of course we do, but the thread Title is referencing Desert Storm.
I was cubicle rat at that time and when the reports started coming in, I posted a sign facing the aisle. It paraphrased the report the Brits sent when asked how many Italian prisoners they had taken in WWII Africa. They replied: “We have one acre of officers and three acres of all other ranks.”
Twenty years already? That makes me feel old.
Also, I notice the Desert Storm patch there has a map with Iraq in cross-hairs. So does that mean liberals think we’re inspiring violence and lacking in civility?
