Probably some Wal-Mart hater who still shops there for the low prices and then whines about everything they do. He paid for it at the back of the store, so I wonder what he’d do at Best Buy where you pay for it 10 feet from the door and the receipt checker still demands to see the receipt.

I’m glad the other customers came to the poor receipt checker’s defense against this bully.

You can show your receipt. Or, through higher prices, you can subsidize all the shoplifting that will occur when Walmart is not allowed to check receipts.

He might be a jerk, but I get pretty pissed when I go to a Wal-mart in a pretty bad section of town and you have to show your receipt before walking out the door with anything. When the store first opened, I frequented it alot, but have since moved. The receipt checkers were extremely rude to caucasions exiting the store. I solved that problem, I don’t go there anymore.

Why did he not just show them the receipt? I understand his position, but the checker was trying to do his job. No point giving ordinary people a hard time.

The last time I shopped at Walmart, I thought the receipt checker got real obnoxious with me. She acted like a high school hall monitor or a TSA agent.

I did show the person my receipt and didn’t cause a scene...and have never shopped at Walmart again. Problem solved.

And in doing so he's now emboldened those who would prefer to steal a 37 inch TV from Walmart and successfully say no to the receipt checker blocking their way.

That's all right. Walmart will just pass the costs of theft along to the rest of us.
