There are two signs that the new "Arthur" is a badly slurring shadow of the 1981 mini-classic starring Dudley Moore.
The first is a small but notable difference on the movie poster. On the original, the "a" in "Arthur" is leaning precariously against the "r," as if recovering from a tough night out. The new logo is straight-ahead, boring, typical. The second and more crucial alteration is that this "Arthur" is missing a soul.

Thank you for the advanced notice about this looser. Hollywood is useless!!! They can't find anything original so they film remakes one after another.
I have not paid to see a movie in a theater in over two years. I plan to see Atlas Shrugged Part I next week and they none for another 2 years until Atlas Shrugged Parts II and II come out. In between I will watch TCM (unless TCM shows a movie made with Hollywood Miscreants and Traitors). Then I will go fishing.
Nothing good to see at the movies. I’m going back to see The King’s Speech over again.
I understand that movie was the only one watching from 2010.
How is that possible? It's still at theaters.

We use Arthur lines all the time in our house. lol!
My favorite movie of all time.

Brand will probably star in the “The Hangover 3” if it gets made.
“They recently had the whole country carpeted.”
“Ahhh, you’re a hedge!”
“This is a goner.”
“YOU’RE miserable? I have all of this and I’m on a salary.”
That also was Dudley Moore's favorite line in the whole movie.
Arthur: Hobson, do you know what I'm going to do? I'm going to take a bath.
Hobson: I'll alert the media.
Arthur: Oh, stay with me, Hobson. You know I hate to be alone.
Hobson: Yes, bathing is a lonely business.
Arthur: Except for fish.
Hobson: I beg your pardon? Did you say "except for fish"?
Arthur: Yes... fish all bathe together. Although they do tend to eat one another. I often think... fish must get awfully tired of seafood. What are your thoughts, Hobson?

That one is my favorite.
It looks like the only way this remake could be worse is if it starred Dane Cook.
