Tonight while talking about Trump, Levin said the birther movement gets us nowhere, and he has no part of the movement. He also said he will have his administrator delete comments on his facebook criticizing him for this.
I’m not focusing on one issue. I’m reporting what Levin said, and no I don’t think Levin is a close Obama supporter. I’m unhappy that he doesn’t think it’s an issue.

And he won’t win reelection if they determine in states like Arizona that the certification of live birth is insufficient.

I didn’t realize he had reached demigod status such that we are not allowed to criticize him.
And by the way: there are thousands of “passionate, intelligent, take no prisoners conservatives” on FR.
Levin has been wrong before.
Let’s see what transpires in the next few months.
Levin is a hero, period, a great patriot. I disagree with him on the eligibility issue, but he is right to smell a rat with Trump. Screw him if he can’t accept a primary defeat, and support the winner. I think he’s for Hillary, anyway. The only good thing is that he’s bringing up some issues that deserve airing.
Off the top of my head. Arizona, Missouri, Nebraska, Georgia, Oklahoma, Texas, Connecticut, Indiana, Nebraska, Tennessee and Maine.
It doesn’t mean they’ve passed or even gotten far but they’ve gotten a lot farther than they’ll ever get in congress.
He may get unelected (let’s hope), but if he does it will not be because people are questioning his citizenship.
You can't hide something like that forever.
Trump ought to offer a million dollar reward to anybody who can come up with a bona fide copy.
There are enough alarming things in Obama’s past without worrying about a birth certificate.
I think you're right. It isn't so much about the birther issue as about Trump himself. I have the same misgivings about Trump as Levin. Don't get me wrong, I like the fact that Trump isn't running from the issue, and he may even make a good President. Hell, anyone's better than the poser we have in there now. The problem is Trump's ego is at least as big as Hussein's. If he doesn't get the nomination I'm afraid he'll pull a Ross Perot and we'll have 4 more years of the magic muslim.
So many people are focused of getting money out of politics, and that's fine, but then you get the independently wealthy running. With great wealth comes even bigger egos. We've seen this in NYC with Bloomy, we can't afford it on a national level.
Of course his eligibility would have an effect on his reelection. People aren’t talking about it, that is why some say it’s not hurting Obama. Did the Swiftboat Vets not hurt Kerry?
Plenty of very alarming things in his present.
I personally think that not enough attention is being given to Obama ties to unrest in the mideast. Our military supply lines are facing increasing threats. A woman being floated for the next Secretary of state has said she wants a “massive protection force” in Israel to protect the palestinians. The gaza flotilla next month will be gasoline on the fire and many of our allies are saying that it will be considered an act of war if their civilians are injured in an attempt to stop it.
Mark’s great guy agree or disagree his love for this country is deep and it is that to which why i look up to him.
We can't even keep our own "conservative" officials from screwing us over as with the budget deal (and over which Levin is catching hell for exposing)!
Apples and oranges. You have video proof of Kerry throwing away his medals, smearing the troops, and his fellow servicemen telling you he is untrustworthy. Unless someone comes forward with some pictures of Obama in some Mombasa hospital delivery room, this is never going to be more than unsubstantiated rumors.
What coverup?
He can prove it by showing his birth certificate. He has to prove it, he is the president, not me.
Kerry may have done those things to smear the troops on film, but it was investigations that showed that his heroic claims were not true.
I think Mark is brilliant, and agree with him 90% of the time, but he’s wrong about this.
He doesn’t have to prove it. It’s required that you are natural born, but there are no legal requirements to show it. No federal court of appeals or the SCOTUS would rule that his COLB is insufficient to satisfy natural born citizen requirements. None.
