Oh yeah! I LOVE burning up the pavement.
And the weather was perfect.
No tornadoes or hail or anything. (I have ridden in both, and it sure takes the fun out of riding)

Tiapam, Here is a motorcycle story I posted on Mike’s Memorial Site:

Riding in the Rain - August 4, 2010
Posted: March 29, 2011 | Last Revised: March 29, 2011

Mike’s last Motorcycle trip was from his home in Margate to Orlando Florida, to a beautiful resort at Disney, in celebration of our 38th wedding anniversary.

The trip started out great, with blue skies and bright sunshine. We packed everything onto the bikes, including our cell phones and a laptop computer, so that we could keep up with our blogs while we were on vacation.

Just as we were leaving Jupiter in Palm Beach County, it began to rain. Now we have ridden in the rain before, so we thought it was no big deal. We attempted to rest under a bridge for a while, but trucks were splashing us with sheets of filthy water, so we saddled up and rode some more, to the “Beeline Expressway” which goes from the East Coast of Florida all the way across half the state to Orlando.

The Beeline has no bridges or underpasses to hide beneath, and no place to turn off for a rest. At this point there were multiple lightening strikes all around us, gale force winds, and torrents of tropical rain.

When we finally squished into the resort lobby after 300 miles of motorcycle hell, soaked to the skin, our luggage, clothing, and electronics all dripping water, Mike strode up to the concierge and said “we’d like two tickets to “Wet and Wild Water Park, please”.

~Welcome To Sunday At Amy's Place~

Matthew 6
25 Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what
you will eat (or drink), or about your body, what you will
wear. Is not life more than food and the body more than
clothing?
26 Look at the birds in the sky; they do not sow or reap, they
gather nothing into barns, yet your heavenly Father
feeds them. Are not you more important than they?
27 Can any of you by worrying add a single moment to your lifespan?
28 Why are you anxious about clothes? Learn from the way the
wild flowers grow. They do not work or spin.
29 But I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was
clothed like one of them.
30 If God so clothes the grass of the field, which grows today
and is thrown into the oven tomorrow, will he not much
more provide for you, O you of little faith?
31 So do not worry and say, 'What are we to eat?' or 'What are
we to drink?' or 'What are we to wear?'
32 All these things the pagans seek. Your heavenly Father knows
that you need them all.
33 But seek first the kingdom (of God) and his righteousness, and
all these things will be given you besides.
34 Do not worry about tomorrow; tomorrow will take care of itself.
Sufficient for a day is its own evil.
*
~Blessings To All Who Enter Here~

Happy Sunday my FRiends, turn up the volume and enjoy. You have to put up with a tiny commercial, but Allen Jackson is worth it.

“For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first; Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air; and so shall we ever be with the Lord.” (1st. Thess. 4:16-17).

May 22, 2011

A friend of mine pastors a church in a small mountain community not far from Boise, Idaho. The community is nestled in a wooded valley through which a pleasant little stream meanders. Behind the church and alongside the stream is a grove of willows, a length of grass, and a sandy beach. It’s an idyllic spot that has long been a place where members of the community gather to picnic.

One day, a man in the congregation expressed concern over the legal implications of “outsiders” using the property. “If someone is injured,” he said, “the church might be sued.” Though the elders were reluctant to take any action, the man convinced them that they should post a sign on the site informing visitors that this was private property. So the pastor posted a sign. It read: “Warning! Anyone using this beach may, at any moment, be surrounded by people who love you.” I read his sign the week after he put it up and was charmed. “Exactly,” I thought. “Once again grace has triumphed over law!”

This love for one’s neighbor springs from God’s kindness, forbearance, and patience with us. It’s not the law, but the goodness of God that draws men and women to repentance (Rom. 2:4) and to saving faith in His Son Jesus Christ.

As You have loved me, let me love
Lost souls in darkness dwelling;
To draw the needy ones to You,
Lord, give a zeal compelling! —Bosch

Love is the magnet that draws believers together
and attracts unbelievers to Christ.
