Well, since Ms Meg is still here, we know that Harold Camping, like many before him, was wrong about the Rapture occurring yesterday. If it was me that was shown to be a false prophet, I would have said: “eau contraire, all those worthy were raptured and all the un-raptured retreads left behind will have to contend with the seven years of Obama and if that ain’t Tribulation then please tell me what is.” But anyway, he couldn’t have made the case with Ms Meg still here.

I don't have flocks of birds as a rule..but I have enough variety to please me greatly. I have Cardinals (more numerous in winter)..a pair and their young in spring and summer..I have house finches like the one in my opening, titmice, chickadees, white wing doves, sparrows. There is an occasional Carolina wren, bluejay, mockingbird and red bellied woodpecker. I don't take pictures.

Wait a minute! Maybe Camping didn’t say that we were going to be “raptured” on the 21st. Maybe he said that we were going to be “raptored” on the 21st. Since the chicken is the nearest living relative to the raptor and since the dollar is being turned into “chicken feed” daily, maybe he was right and we were “raptored” yesterday!

And all regulars (if I missed any.) Do I need a password to get on Amy's Place?? Hey guys and gals, I'm so sorry I just haven't felt well enough to get on here. Several days I just didn't open the computer at all. Can't remember ever feeling this bad with something that hit me like a light and has kept me down and is still keeping me down.

Let me recall how this thing started! Last Saturday, I went to the funeral home for my DIL's uncle (around a lot of people). Had a good day Sunday, went to the grocery store late Sunday and bought everything they had it seemed like. (also around a lot of people.) On Monday, I cooked that roast with potatoes and carrots, etc. and it was good and everything was fine. Had hair appointment on Tuesday, etc. and when I came home, I warmed up some roast beef for lunch/dinner. Everything was fine.

About 2 hours later, I started with a dry cough over and over. I coughed off and on all evening and after I went to bed, I coughed on and off during the night. I felt so wrung out the next morning, I felt like I had been run over with a tractor-trailer. I called my doctor and spoke with his assistant. She called back and said he wanted me to come out there. Folks, I had to tell her that I didn't have the strength to come out there. He decided to be stubborn and not send me anything. I just had seen him 2 weeks before and also went for that test he ordered the week after that.

By the way, on Wednesday afternoon, the cough started loosening up and it sounded more like a chest cold and I just felt worse and worse, so I laid here the rest of the week and would fix just enough to eat that I wouldn't starve (but I had no appetite.) I felt so bad by yesterday, I knew I had to do something so I went to Urgent Care. Its a step down from the Emergency Room and I hate E.R.'s. so much. They keep you 3-4 hours and its just too hard.

Anyway, they took a chest x-ray and blood test and asked a bunch of questions. The doctor said the x-ray didn't show pneumonia but it showed a bad case of bronchitis. He gave me an antibiotic. He said it would be several days until the antibiotic really worked and I would start showing some improvement. I still have not felt a bit good today and I can't remember something getting the best of me because I'm a real fighter. When you live alone, you have to be a fighter.

Anyway, I love you all and appreciate the get well wishes and words and the prayers. I hope I can take the time in a day or two to be sure I see them all. I'm afraid I will miss something.
