It's a right, MY right and YOUR right too. The right to travel, the right to drive, the right to engage in commerce, to go forth in public when doing so peacefully and not in careless regard for the good and safety of others! To so go forth unmolested, unstopped, unquestioned by police or other official authority of a district. A basic, natural "self-evident" right.

If you hold otherwise, and come into power, or exercise your vote in ways that TAKE MY RIGHT or lessen my right because of your flawed opinion, know that I have a right and a duty to protect myself and my property from the careless and misinformed trespasser, which you seem to have no problem being.

A thief has a opinion that my goods are better for him to have. "As an American" what the heck does that mean in the context of having the opinion that thievery or thuggery are okay? NOTHING!

To say that travel, driving, commerce is a privilege and not a right is a WRONG opinion. As bad, if not worse, than the opinion of the thief.

You seem very angry. Is healthcare a right?

Oh hang on now...

“If you hold otherwise, and come into power, or exercise your vote in ways that TAKE MY RIGHT or lessen my right because of your flawed opinion, know that I have a right and a duty to protect myself and my property from the careless and misinformed trespasser, which you seem to have no problem being.”

You just threatened me because I think driving is a privelege?

Yes, I am a lawyer, and yes, your definitions are crazy.

As to the boat, as per CURRENT law, it depends on the size of the boat, in which waters, if for compensation or not, and other considerations, whether the boat is sail or power, all as set by various government entities.

You may not like it, but to argue with facts is a course in futility.

As for arguments, you are cut off. You are not capable of a logical legal discussion, so I will not argue with you any longer.

You are zotted.

And as per your statement:

“As to me I am less learned than a man”

I TOTALLY AGREE

You remain zotted.

Is healthcare a right?

It is for millions of illegal aliens. The same one's who drive, work, commit more crimes, choke off our social services, jails, schools and hospitals...

So yes, the law abiding must obey all laws, all while illegal aliens ignore all your laws, as your government forces the law abiding to subsidize the those who ignore our laws.

A government that refuses to secure and protect it's own legitimate sovereign borders, will itself eventually become illegitimate. Bet the rent.

You are a narrow-minded twerp, taught by equally narrow-minded twerps. You don’t know the law, you and they, your teachers, know less of the law than a cheap prostitute understands a wedding bed.

You oppress yourself, and under color of your authority as a member of the bar — this era’s perverted bar — you oppress others. It is a weakness of any profession, long established and powerful, to turn a worthwhile pride in the wisdom and ability of the profession into a tyrannical hubris, crushing all who’d dare speak up to it or compete with it.

In the Founder’s era, and for a ever diminishing extent in the generations that followed men who spoke of law and liberty, men of the bar, legislators, good concerned and literate citizens had a conception of law and liberty which you obviously find very radical. It is almost foreign to you and your ilk today.

Sad. Sad and frustrating, but life ain’t meant to be easy. Each era has its pluses and minuses. In our era the legal system, the lawyers and legislators trained in it, are a big minus. Tyrannical.

But that’s just my crazy illogical opinion.

the cop was the fool.

Police have to give badge and name.

taking off name tags and badges is what goons do.

1. no proof of that (there is a two hour window to the validity of breath tests though)

2. proves nothing (surpressable at the very least)

3. they absolutly had the right to demand badge and id.

4. really, gangbangers typically scream racism. the tape will tell.

5. cops always sieze the video because it makes them look bad. see the biker who taped and posted the video. cops are scared of video because is shows how they really act.

6. if they did a u-turn to avoid the checkpoint the cops have chase vehicles. remember dui/dwi arrests are a high profit operation and a road to promotion.

I would indeed threaten a man who says (in some way that it results in such action) that thieves must be allowed their way in my town, state or nation. Such a man is more a danger than any one or a few thieves being as his words sum up into the future of many thieves. Now do you know what a "privilege" is?
PRIVILEGE, rights. This word, taken its active sense, is a particular law, or a particular disposition of the law, which grants certain special prerogatives to some persons, contrary to common right. In its passive sense, it is the same prerogative granted by the same particular law.

2. Examples of privilege may be found in all systems of law; members of congress and of the several legislatures, during a certain time, parties and witnesses while attending court; and coming to and returning from the same; electors, while going to the election, remaining on the ground, or returning from the same, are all privileged from arrest, except for treason, felony or breach of the peace.

--Bouvier's Law Dictionary, 1856 Edition

Driving, a form of travel and also of operation of dangerous machinery in the public way, is a common right. Albeit, given the danger of operation, a common right naturally subject to reasonable restrictions. But the requirement for such restrictions upon driving, and only those which are both reasonable and no affront to a reasonable man -- a sane and sober adult -- does not magically turn driving into a "privilege" granted a special few. Any and all have the common right to drive, in as much as they can be safe about it.

Sad the debased level to which a fine potential mind and a high-priced education have fallen.

Contrary to your opinion, the Fourth Amendment to the United States Constitution is still in effect.

1. no proof of that (there is a two hour window to the validity of breath tests though)

You claim that after being told at least 7 times, as shown on the video, why they were being detained, they still didn't know why?????? Or was it to obstruct governmental administration to try to get outside the two hour window? Gee, if I had them on cross, I'd ask them if they were too drunk to remember what they had been told a few moments ago!

2. proves nothing (suppressible at the very least)

Certainly not supressible. It's their utterances recorded at the time and place of the utterance, with their permission, if fact, by them! If they didn't expect the tape to be used, why record it? Sorry, but this time they got hung by their own trick.

3. they absolutely had the right to demand badge and id.

Until such time it simply became a delaying tactic, and since the perps had acknowledged that they knew the cops were police officers, it clearly was that. When they asked for a certain Lieutenant, again they were acknowledging that they knew they were dealing with police officers, because when they asked for a specific officer by last name only, they demonstrated that they assumed the officers would know who the Lieutenant was.

4. really, gangbangers typically scream racism. the tape will tell.

Racist? Moi? What racial term did I use? “Gangbangers” is a term for members of a gang, and there are Black, White, Brown, Yellow, et.c members of gangs. Had I said “members of a group who often display certain specific clothing associated with their ongoing organized criminal enterprise,” would that have been racist?

Did cops arrest them because they were Hispanic, or because they refused to show the required Drivers License. Bet a whole bunch of Hispanics complyed, and were discharged in less than one minute.

5. cops always seize the video because it makes them look bad. see the biker who taped and posted the video. cops are scared of video because is shows how they really act.

But in the instant case, the cops looked good and patient. So your comment that “cops always seize the video because it makes them look bad” is demonstrably false on its face.

6. if they did a u-turn to avoid the checkpoint the cops have chase vehicles. remember dui/dwi arrests are a high profit operation and a road to promotion.

They also keep perpetrators of vehicular homicides off the road. Do U have a problem with that?
