I have long suspected that they go to snooker halls, hang out with other disreputable felines, indulge in catnip and come up with ways to get in trouble.

Seems like it would be cheaper to ask a crazy cat lady.

I had one that used to hang out at the bar next door.

My wife was bitten by a cat two days ago. Her hand swelled up to twice it’s size within about 8 hours. She went to the emergency room yesterday morning and the doctor told her she could have lost her hand as a result of the bite. She had to have the bite opened up and they put in a drain. It’s now wrapped up in six feet of gauze. I never realized cat bites could be so toxic.

Here in Texas, if Fluffy or Fido roam too far from home they get eaten by coyotes or owls.
Which isn't really a bad thing. I love my pets but feral housepets can pose problems. Not that the coyotes don't I guess.

Rabies, cat scratch fever, feline leukemia and feline immunodeficiency virus are also of concern

I asked my cat what he does when outside. He blinked and mumbled something about charity work and left the room.

Sorry to hear your wife was bitten but it looks like she’ll be okay.

Mungo Jerry and Rumpleteezer would do B & E’s.
Asparagus would hang around the theater.
Shimbleshanks was on a train
Bustopher Jones hung around “Gentlemen’s Clubs.”
Jennyanniedots sits around all day and does nothing.
Ya! I saw it six times!

Cats have a lot of bacteria in their mouth. It is one of the dirtiest mouths a domestic pet can have. If the bite doesn’t kill whatever is being bit, the bacteria will get into the wound and eventually kill what was bitten.
I am glad your wife didn’t lose her hand and is hopefully on the mend.

They apparently didn’t get the message, either from PETA or from the cat mafia, that cats aren’t “owned” and “non-owned”. PETA and the other wacks say animals have independent rights. The cat mafia (composed, of course, of cats) says: dogs have owners; cats have staff.

I should also mention their claws are just as bad as their mouths (they lick them and transfer bacterial to them).
