BELLEVUE, Wash. - A trio of Washington state women said they were lucky to escape injury when their GPS device directed them to drive into the water.
The women said they were driving in Bellevue when the GPS instructed them to make a U-turn that took them down a boat ramp and into Mercer Slough, KIRO-TV, Seattle, reported Wednesday.
The women, who were visiting from out of town, received a ride back to the hotel from firefighters.

Seems someone lost their grip on reality.

Reminds me of an episode of The Office. After Michael drives down a boat ramp into a lake, the device says, “Make...a...U-turn.”

As a GPS user from 2004, I’ll say it soemtimes does that to you. Although a big help many times, it’s not magic.

maybe the GPS wanted to go fishing? GPS knew the car was packed with plenty of bait?

Damned firefighters spoiled my designs for Gregoire, Cantwell and Murray.
Legal notice: This is a joke.

And now they’ll sue and win a huge sum of money, all because they were too stupid to be driving.
If the GPS is in error, the driver should be smarter than a brick and able to override what the GPS is suggesting.
C’mon man.

Which is more stupid, the GPS device or the women who drove into the water without thinking about it?

They blindly followed the words coming out of an electronic device, even though it contradicted common sense? I’ve never heard of such a thing.
(Well, except for the millions of people who saw Obama on television in 2008 and decided to vote for him.)

I have a cousin who got into a car accident at night when his GPS stated he needed to go right when he needed to turn left. Turning right lead him right down a small ravine. What happened to MAPS?

I didn’t know Hillary’s staff was allowed that far from home.

I'll bet it was a TomTom.
I threw mine out when it had me take turns that were to soon or too late.
I now have a Garmin that will retain remote memory.

The GPS made me do it... The suv ran over somebody. The only thing more moronic than the person driving is the person writing the story.
