Good Morning to all. Closing Arguments are today.

I apologize in advance if you were either left off today's ping list or included in error. I am not at home and forgot to forward my pinglist to my friend's house, so I've had to check some older threads and reconstruct as many names as possible. If I missed you I'm sorry.

I probably won't be able to post much on this thread, but after I am home I will keep my ear to the television/radio for the jury decision, and will ping again when I hear so we can have a discussion thread.

No, I said she probably killed her child - but it has not been proven. Case dismissed.
Remember the Scott Peterson case? All circumstantial evidence like this one - and Peterson is currently on death row.

I believe it’s one of the charges. With this case, it’s actually one of the LESSER charges.

Regardless of the verdict (which I am pretty sure will be guilty) the lives of this family are irreversibly destroyed. They lost their granddaughter. The father’s reputation was shredded, as was their son’s. I assume they had to cover the costs of at least part of the defense, so financially they are damaged. They are looking at their daughter either getting the needle or life in jail. It’s just one big nightmare they can never awaken from.

If there is an appeal it will be because of Jose Baez. He has, so far, not said a single thing to help his client.

There is nothing that he could say. The so called mother gave him NOTHING to work with. He is just hoping he can confuse some idiot on the jury, and it would take an idiot not to vote for conviction. Whether she gets the death penalty or not is ultimately up to the judge.
