Obama threw a major [bleep]-fit late this afternoon

Have it on solid authority that Obama threw a major [bleep]-fit late this afternoon, eastern time, on whatever this is he agreed to as his back was against the wall because the speaker would not back down and apparently Reid and the Veep told the Prez it was over and to get over it. Developing. I should be able to confirm with sources in a few hours or by tomorrow's show.

How is this not the McConnell plan - giving the president more or less sole authority to raise the debt ceiling by $2.1 trillion in two years.

The spineless GOP negotiators gave away the farm. The House held all the cards with sole authority NOT to raise the debt ceiling. They had ALL the leverage. Obama and the Democrats had to cut spending until the House agreed to raise the debt ceiling. All the GOP had to to was HOLD THE DAMN LINE, force Obama to cave in, then make raising the debt ceiling contingent upon passing CCB and the balanced budget amendment. Which is to say, the House should have said, “after the Senate passed CCB making it law, AND after the House and Senate passed a balanced budget constitutional amendment off to be ratified by the states, THEN AND ONLY THEN, will we raise the debt ceiling”.

Credit downgrades be damn. Debt crisis be damned. The GOP run House had all the cards and could have demanded CCB and the balanced budget be passed in exchange for raising the debt ceiling.

Chumps. I hope the Tea Party Republicans prevent it’s passage.

As far as the president not getting what he wants & alienating his base, I can’t see it. Instead of running up $9 trillion new debt over the next 10 years, the Dems will only run up $6.9 trillion to $21.2 trillion. WOW! what a huge GOP victory!

And the president has control over the debt ceiling WHICH IS SOLELY A LEGISLATIVE FUNCTION. Why bother with a Congress, just make the president dictator for life. Nothing in the convoluted agreement will be passed by the Democrat controlled Senate, so by default, the president will have the sole control over raising the debt ceiling. Nice.

WTF if the base alienated over exactly? What did Obama not get that he wanted? He got 80% of what he wanted and this is a GOP victory with Obama furious and alienating his base?

BULLS#!^.

"I don’t know how Hannity and O’Reilly ratings are going."

Hannity is conservatism's Ron Burgundy.

O'Reilly reminds me of Loofah Day (barf).

I have felt the same way on many things about Congress and this administration. Seems like a big show and we are being played. The deal making is done behind the scenes and the outcome is predetermined.

It was the same with Libyan war, Lame Duck, No accountability to ATF, Black Panthers, missing stimulus money.....

Anybody who believes this is a complete fool.

Obama just got 2 trillion more in a debt limit increase.

Those cuts over ten years will never come.

it means HE DIDN'T GET WHAT HE WANTED!

But did we get what we wanted? Did the Balanced Budget Amendment issue get tabled?

Obama has to run on the socialist left... there is no way he can do otherwise.

That's correct. He is already running his campaign on Higher Taxes (actions speak louder than words). He has already gone down from 250K to 200K.

He is also running against any Balanced Budget Amendment and has proven allergic to Budgets.

All the Tea Party and the Republicans need to do is keep O on the ropes, is to remind America of these facts.

has been steadily growing for the past few years at the point that Civil War gives me a tingle up my leg.

We had a point, here in the South, about States Rights. Obamacare obliterated them.

Guess what, THE SOUTH WILL RISE AGAIN!

So maybe his occasional tantrums would explain the 0-boy`s head scars. Headbanging and all..

He`s learning for the first time in his pampered life exactly what it means to be told “no.”

They are so shallow. I csn see them claiming the Tea Party won this and then trying to blame them for everything that happens between now and next Nov.

I don't think the GOP realized how strong their hand really was.

Harry Reid was playing gatekeeper on this as Obama & his children in tha administration were too incompetent to strike a deal. One never knows but I suspect Reid's bottom line was to prevent CC&B. That would have been death to most liberal Democrats in congress over the next 3 election cycles. With this deal they only have Obama at risk.

“No Tax Increase” might be good for the Republican’s politically, but let’s keep it in mind thate the country’s economy, weak as it is, could not sustain a tax increase.
