It takes a lot to run a ranch.
Thanks for the wonderful memories. God Bless you President Reagan. Every time I hear one of his speeches or see his picture, it brings tears to my eyes.
Reagan is enacting the law that became part of Reaganomics. Every conservative should know this photo.
Now I need to know what location every Conservative bill was signed to demonstrate my bonafides? Well zot me then. I can’t do that on my best day. I couldn’t find my car keys that I set down 10 minutes earlier today for 30 minutes. My excuse was that my daughter set her book on top of them.
On vacation at his ranch near Santa Barbara, California, U.S. President Ronald Reagan signed into law the Economic Recovery Tax Act of 1981, the 25% income tax cut for which he had sought passage.

And he did it with a Democratic-Controlled Congress.
The Dems ran the House and GOP ran the Senate.
“Every time I hear one of his speeches or see his picture, it brings tears to my eyes.”
After living through Obamageddon, it does the same thing to me too. I really miss him.
I stand corrected.
I am proud to say Reagan was my Commander-in-Chief for most of my 6 years in the Marines. I joined right after the Iranian mob took the hostages in 1979, so my first CiC was Carter. Fortunately, that only lasted a little over a year. When Reagan took office and the Iranians immediately released the hostages, everybody knew it was indeed “morning in America”, and that the country would be great again.
I think America is going to have that same feeling in a year-and-a-half.
I can hardly wait.
FRegards and Semper fidelis,

He managed to get it through the House with the help of southern conservative democrates whom the liberal called “boll weavils”. Some of them Like Kent Hance of Texas, became Republicans.
Same here.
Thank you so much for your service.
I was only 12 when Reagan was elected, and never got to vote for him. I remember the impact the Carter years had on my family, however, as my dad worked in construction of new homes and the economic problems hit us hard. In 1980, my older sister and I went to see the Rose Parade and slept on the sidewalk in Pasadena on New Year’s Eve. There were crowds there protesting Iran throughout the night, burning photos and drawings of the Ayatollah and some photos of Carter were mixed in. I really didn’t know what it meant to see people burning pictures of the president, but I clearly understand it now.
I was a Marine then and completely ignorant of politics, sadly
I visited President Reagan’s Library for the first time a couple of years ago. I had to go to Point Mugu for work so I thought I would take a detour from LAX to Simi Valley on the way there. It was an early Monday afternoon in early March. I was amazed by how crowded the place was! It was so crowded I had to drive around to find a parking place. I met a family originally from the former East Germany there. They had come to the U.S. just to visit the Reagan Library. WOW! I asked one of the Library staff about the crowds. She told me that the Library was crowded to capacity every day of the week from opening to closing all year round. She also told me that former Reagan staffers and White House personnel volunteered there on a regular basis.

Thanks for sharing that experience. I know a family from Poland. They love Ronald Reagan.
Thanks for the great post.
Reagan was one of a kind. Somebody like Ronald Reagan is desperately needed right now.
Ubama and the rats are determined to destroy this once-proud nation. From communist health care, to sodomizing the US military, to income redistribution and welfare-state socialism, the rats are incrementally - - but surely - - destroying the nation that has for over a hundred years been a beacon of hope and opportunity for people around the world. It just makes me want to cry.
