On Saturday,Texas Governor Rick Perry announced his intentions to be the next President of the United States. I will go on record and predict he will indeed.
Mr. Obama will not win another term unless we have some economic fairy waive her magic wand and change the world in a short 16 months. He is weak and worn out. Behind the scenes, his presidency is in chaos and in a few short months, he has another budget cutting battle that will cause him to lose all around. He will try to act like he knows what he is doing, but the majority of America for the first time is not buying.
Think back of the people you have met who said they voted for Obama. After your initial shock of why would they be so dense, you can see they fell for the empty rhetoric and empty promises. Now, have some of those shared with you they would never vote for him again? There are many that go burned the first time and will never again. On top of that, the Tea Party and Republican base is fired up. They were not in 2008 as they were tired and worn out after 8 years of a big spending RINO. Add to this that the Democratic base is also disappointed in their savior and the path to re-election for the soup kitchen organizer from Chicago looks very difficult. Saying Mr. Obama is the least qualifed person to ever hold the office of the President is the biggest understatement of the century.
The rest of the Republican field really only involves two, Michelle Bachman and Mitt Romney. The others will be gone by February.
I met Mrs. Bachman last summer and had lunch with her. What an amazing woman and fighter. She stands for exactly what I stand for and most on the far right. And she is not afraid to mix it up. The problem will be once she gets outside her home state area, it is going to be tough for her. And sad also to say that it is still hard for woman to be elected POTUS, especially at a time like this. She would make a great President, but it is a challenge that will prove to be insurmountable.
Mr. Romney is another story. I feel if Rick Perry was not in the race, Romney would be the next President. But those are now just dreams of his. Mr. Romney is a fine man and stands for much of what we stand for, BUT sometimes you just do not know. His flop-flopping through the years has created doubt. If he was the only game in town, one could plug your nose and look past that doubt if the only other choice was Mr. Obama
Romney-care is something Mr. Romney will never get over, no matter how he spins it. It looks like Obamacare will be front and center at the Supreme Court during the height of the presidential campaign, and that is not good for Mr. Romney. And during a time where the Tea Party holds great influence, Mr. Romney is too far left of all of that and when he tacks right, he is hard to believe.
The only other wild-card is Sarah Palin. Mrs. Palin is a force to be reckoned with and would make a great President. But I feel if she ran, the campaign would not be about issues and Mr. Obama would win. Hopefully she continues to just be thorn in Obamas side and keeps everyone honest. I do not feel she will run. In fact, I will go so far as to assume her and Mr. Perry have had a few phone conversations over the last few months. But I do believe Sarah Palin will have her day, just not over the next 4-8 years.
That leaves Mr. Perry. Unless there are some huge skeletons in the closet, he will be the next POTUS. Jobs and the economy is the real game in town and he can talk it and back it up. Obama can talk it, but has never had a real one. Mr. Perry is also not afraid of a fight, just ask Kay Baily!
I have two suggestions for Mr. Perry.
1. Bring back Ronald Reagans line, "Are you better off than you were 4 years ago?" and repeat and repeat.
2. Say the pledge of allegience before every campaign event. Bring back some pride of country and try to bring folks together. And say the pledge in Spanish and English. I understand Mr. Perry speaks Spanish and that population needs to hear him loud and clear.
In closing, if John McCain would have been elected, America would have continued to die a slow death. Mr. Obama has woke the sleeping giant and his polices, as painful as they are, in the end will be the death of liberalism for many generations. And Mr. Perry will be riding in shortly to make sure of that.
Perry apparently has a wide stance on illegal immigration and on the importance of imposing Sharia Law on America.
¡Mira!
I think this might be premature infatuation.
There’s more time. I’m not anti-Perry... but much can happen.
They've moderated and today most medical specialists in Pakistan and a number of other countries are Ismailis.
Most Moslems think these guys are nuts.
Elect Perry to stop Obama.
Elect conservatives to congress to stop Perry.
Everyone wins!
>>>I think this might be premature infatuation.
I like that one... accurate description of the enthusiasm for Saint Rick.
What is the correlation among supporters of Trump and the Perry pimps?
Well, NO, he doesn’t. Good try, tho.
Where’s the Obama / Perry polls? No need for the not named Republican opponent poll.
A lot of what you ‘believe’ appears to be based on a sexist attitude
Like the liberals - ‘it’s time for’ - yours is - ‘it’s not time for’ - same mindset. And nothing about the best candidate for the job.
“Rick Perry is next POTUS”
The same thing was said of Mitch Daniels and Tim Pawlenty not so long ago.
It’s a little too soon to call the primaries off just because Gov. Goodhair announced a couple of days ago.
Honestly, let's leave Justin Bieber out of this.
He is weak and worn out.
Obama? Shoot, he was always weak. He's likely worn out from avoiding that Wookie.
Think back of the people you have met who said they voted for Obama.
I didn't meet 'em but I watched a crack-house bust on ABC13.
The rest of the Republican field really only involves two, Michelle Bachman and Mitt Romney.
Were you in that crack-house? And it's "Bachmann".
I met Mrs. Bachman last summer and had lunch with her.
You failed to notice how her name is spelled? Was the crack that good?
She stands for exactly what I stand for
Not spelling.
For some reason I do not trust Perry. Now that is just me.
Why am I getting a sense of deja’ vu? Didn’t you just post this earlier today?
LOL........as a Texan I wholeheartedly agree with your assessment. I’m just sittin’ here at my ol’ Dell computer tryin’ to tell people Perry ain’t what you need. Good, decent guy but politician all the way. He’ll go whichever the political winds blow......for him!
