I wouldn't want to look up to a serial philanderer, like Cosby.
I remember that several years ago he did a cross country speaking tour where he admonished parents to take responsibility for raising their children to be educated, moral adults. I think he was mostly preaching to the religious groups and universities. I also remember that he caught a lot of flack from the likes of Jackson, Waters, Belafonte and the race pimps.
I like the idea of Cosby calling them out of shirking their responsibility. Somebody has to say it and he is a good one. But As I remember the black racists were saying "sure he can talk about responsibilities, he's rich.
Pathetic! Cosby isn’t offering any advice that isn’t good for people of ALL races. Plenty of white trash types that could benefit from his wisdom. And the white liberal is an idiot. Cosby grew up poor in Philadelphia. He’s a hell of a lot more “authentically” black than Obama who has tenuous ties to the black experience in the US and was raised by comfortable grandparents in Hawaii, and abroad for many years. When Obama came back to the States, he attended elite, exclusive schools and associated with Marxists and other anti-American radicals. Cosby may be a democrat, but he’s 100% pro-America.
Actually, African-American inner city parents beat their children to pulp. Cosby has been trying for years to get them to stop whipping and beating their babies.
The one's with whom I've spoken don't understand why the so called "Black Culture" exists, thought one mentioned that it might be a "plot" by White Supremacists and racists to ensure the Black population stay enslaved, uneducated, and in poverty. One from South Africa told me nothing he's experienced in apartheid SA compared to this, as far as "keeping the Black Man down."

I agree with you. I’ve read some of his books (excellent!) and if what he writes is true, he spends a lot of time in the inner cities trying to help cure the numerous pathologies of the inhabitants. He’s VERY tough on them.
Yes, there are plenty of blacks that get this...but those aren’t the blacks he is talking about.

Obama isn’t even 1/2 black. He’s 1/2 white, 1/4 arab 1/4 african...More cracker than black. Its just the color of his skin....
I like Mr. Cosby. Always have. And I feel he’s a positive voice current generations of black kids ought to be paying attention to. He earned his “street cred” by succeeding in a tough business. In a tough town in tough times, he got an education and succeeded.
I’m just not overwhelmed by his Dr.ED. Its a “proforma” kind of degree, not requiring any sort of independent research demanded of doctorates in other fields. >PS
Yes, what he said here is right, but he’s also kind of a monster. Known in the business as”Bob Hope from hell”.

Being upset his own people are falling behind doesn’t make him conservative. I like him but I never had the impression he was a rock solid conservative.
