It is an interesting site - with many side links to click on to - (I fear I could spend a whole day there....)

It was a pretty good day, with a trip to Wally World - and so see all the ‘People of Wal-Mart’ one more time!

Today, I saw a pregnant lady with a short, skin tight tank top that exposed her entire belly; a man with high heels and striped socks, and a lady (in the beauty supply shop) with hot pink hair. (She told me it would go back to purple on October 1.)

The way some people dress for public exposure is unbelievable!

LOL

It looked fine when I did a preview. It was later that the light bulb clicked on. Sometimes my finger just type what they feel like typing. :)

There are times that I start following links and then forget what I was there for originally. ... Then I wonder why I finished so little of what I had planned for the day.

I’m going to Wally World tomorrow unless I decide to stop at Target instead.

There are times I hope I see no one that I know and I still look dressed to the 9’s compared to some of the “People of Wal-Mart”.

Been reading through the comments expressing appreciation for your ministry, Rus.

It may seem big or small, but it’s the first ping I click on each morning. Thank you our good and faithful servant.

Our Daily Bread print version was available in our church up in Spokane before we moved down here to California. It was a perfect way to start out the day.

“Tully Fog” “Tule Fog”

I knew what you meant too, Amy. :^)

We've got a street here in town named "Tully". I'm sure the name has a history but I doubt it has anything to do with Tule Fog.

Thanks Dave. I used to read the paper version everyday before I started posting it here. I pick one up every time the new ones are out for the family to read.

The Story Of A Wall
September 29, 2011 While visiting the ruins of Hadrian’s Wall in Northern England, I reflected on the fact that this may be the most remembered achievement of the Roman emperor who came to power in ad 117. As many as 18,000 Roman soldiers manned this 80-mile-long barrier, built to keep the northern barbarians from invading the south.

Hadrian is remembered for building a physical wall to keep people out. In contrast, Jesus Christ is remembered for tearing down a spiritual wall to let people in.

When the early church experienced tension between believers of Jewish and non-Jewish birth, Paul told them that, through Christ, they stood equally in the family of God. “For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation . . . so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace . . . . For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father” (Eph. 2:14-15,18).

One of the most beautiful aspects of the Christian faith is the unity among those who follow Jesus. Through His death on the cross, Christ has removed the barriers that so often separate people and has drawn us together in true friendship and love.

God’s people have so much to do
In serving Christ today
That they should use their precious time
To share, to love, to pray. —Branon

Christian unity begins at the cross.

Read: Ephesians 2:11-22

He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation. —Ephesians 2:14
Bible in a year:
Isaiah 7-8; Ephesians 2

Prescribed by the Great Physician *****************************
The next time you feel like GOD can’t use you, just remember....

Noah was a drunk
Abraham was too old
Isaac was a daydreamer
Jacob was a liar
Leah was ugly
Joseph was abused
Moses had a stuttering problem
Gideon was afraid
Samson had long hair and was a womanizer
Rahab was a prostitute
Jeremiah and Timothy were too young
David had an affair and was a murderer
Elijah was suicidal
Isaiah preached naked
Jonah ran from God
Naomi was a widow
Job went bankrupt
Peter denied Christ (3 times!)
The Disciples fell asleep while praying
Martha worried about everything
Mary Magdalene was promiscuous
the Samaritan woman was divorced, more than once...
Zaccheus was too small
Paul was too religious
Timothy had an ulcer.....

AND
Lazarus was dead!

Now! No more excuses!
God can use you to your full potential.
Besides, you aren’t the message, you are just the
messenger.
