Love this one passing it on Dave.
Thank you
Take This Job
Take this job and shove it
I ain’t working here no more
My woman done left and took all the reasons
I was working for
You better not try to stand in my way
As I’m a walking out the door.
Take this job and shove it
I ain’t working here no more
I’ve been workin’ in this factory
From now on fifteen years
All this time I watched my woman
Drowning in a pool of tears
And I’ve seen a lot of good folk die
Who had a lot of bills to pay
I’d give the shirt right off of my back
If I had the nerve to say
Take this job and shove it
I ain’t working here no more
My woman done left and took all the reasons
I was working for
You better not try to stand in my way
As I’m a walking out the door.
Take this job and shove it
I ain’t working here no more
Well that foreman, he’s a regular dog
The line boss, he’s a fool
Got a brand new flat-top haircut
Lord, he thinks he’s cool
One of these days, I’m gonna blow my top
And that sucker, he’s gonna pay
Lord I can’t wait to see their faces
When I get up the nerve to say
Take this job and shove it
I ain’t working here no more
My woman done left and took all the reasons
I was working for
You better not try to stand in my way
As I’m a walking out the door.
Take this job and shove it
I ain’t working here no more.
Dedicated to the working man and woman!
Workin’ Man Blues
It’s a big job just gettin’ by with nine
kids and a wife, I been a workin’
man dang near all my life.
And I’ll be workin’ as long as my two
hands are fit to use. I’ll drink my beer
in the tavern, sing a little bit of these
workin’ man blues.
I keep my nose on the grindstone,
I work hard every day and might get a
little tired on the weekend, after
I draw my pay, but I’ll go back workin’,
Come Monday morning I’ll be right back
with the crew. I’ll drink my beer in a tavern,
sing a little bit of these workin’ man blues.
Hey, hey the working man, the working
man like me. I ain’t never been on
welfare, that’s one place I won’t be,
Cause I’ll be working, as long as my
two hands are fit to use. I’ll drink a little
beer in a tavern, sing a little bit of these
working man blues.
Sometimes I think about leavin’, do a
little bummin around, I wanna throw
my bills out the window, catch a train to
another town. But I go back workin’
I gotta buy my kids a brand new pair
of shoes. Yeah drink a little beer in a
tavern, cry a little bit of these workin’
man blues.
And let’s not forget the domestic
engineers, who cook, clean, raise
the kids, and in general work
every waking hour!
And on the week end.....
It’s party time, (if you’re able)
Whatever you do for a living
DO It Well

School Age
Billy had reached school age. His mother managed with a blast of propaganda to make him enthusiastic about the idea.
She bought him lots of new clothes, told him of the new friends he’d meet, and so on.
When the first day came, Billy eagerly went off and came back home with a lot of glowing reports about school.
The next morning when his mother woke him up, he asked, “What for?” She told him it was time to get ready for school.
“What?” he asked. “Again?”
Thank you

Some Christians grow up believing work is badthat its a curse brought about by Adam and Eves sin. Left uncorrected, this mistaken belief can cause people to feel that what they do in their jobs every day isnt important to Godor at the very least, isnt as important as the work of missionaries and pastors. This is not true, as Genesis 1:26-31 teaches us.
First, we learn that God Himself works, as evidenced by the labor involved in creation and by the fact that He rested on the seventh day. Then we discover that we were made in His image (v.26) and that we were granted dominion over creation. This implies that we are to work to tend creation. Clearly, the tending of Gods creation is worknoble work, for God looked upon His labors and declared them very good (v.31).
It mustnt escape our notice either that work was declared good before sin entered the picture. In other words, work didnt result from the fall and therefore is not a curse. We see this idea again in Genesis 2, when God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it (v.15).
Lets approach each days laborwhether at a job or doing another activity to help our familywith an awareness of the dignity and nobility God granted it in creation.

That’s the last thing Texas needs... Prayers for safety and rain.
Thank you, Rus.
Strong winds brought cooler weather but devastating fires.. Texas has had the hottest summer on record and severe drought.
With God’s help and mercy we shall endure.
One of the ways I like to think about God and His Word is
... it is the ground upon which we stand...
The base of everything.
We are to live our lives in such a way that all who come into contact with us know, as we go about during our days, ... we love and serve God and tell everyone. Living examples. It serves to bring into awareness how our actions are viewed by others. We can not control how they see us, but we can know they are aware we serve the most high God. They will consider it sooner or later. Jesus forced it on no one. He spoke of his Father everywhere he went.
Ants are very industrious which is a very good example for people living on welfare to consider. Ants have a plan for the ant hill and they all will die for the mound.
Thank you, for a new thought in regard to ants.
We are blessed to be a blessing.
Most every day I speak this Psalm from memory as I go about the day. When I have a restless night of sleeplessness. I go over this Psalm a few times, then I pray again for all the people on my prayer list.
For some reason I have found it difficult to memorize the 91 Psalms, and I have read it hundreds of times and it contains some great promises from God.
Thank you, for posting the 23 Psalms .
I have never been a great memorizer..but I can recite Psalm 23, too. It is such a comforting Psalm..
You’re welcome, geologist.
Replenish (to fill or make complete again; add a new stock or supply to:... ) the earth
This word is puzzling, do you agree?
There will be one day a new heaven and a new earth, that will be a time to replenish. In the beginning this is a strange word to use.
Work is good. Inspired by God we will do marvelous things.
