RICK PERRY MUST BE DESTROYED!!!
Vanity

Posted on 09/09/2011 10:16:31 AM PDT by P-Marlowe

Ok, Freepers. Here's a thread where anyone who hates Rick Perry and wouldn't vote for him for dog catcher can post their rants about why he must be destroyed. If you hate Rick Perry then here's the thread to vent your frustriations.

I ask only one thing. If you vent here, please inform your fellow freepers of who you actually support for the Nomination. If you don't support anyone else, but think that Rick Perry must be destroyed anyway, then please state that as your position.

Have at it Freepers.

Here is a good article on Texas politics that demonstrates why your post is nonsense.

There’s a few sour grapes of the bunch called Perry but why destroy the whole thing. Reagan is long gone and Obama is the full opposite. Perry would be a huge upgrade and so would Romney but Reagan they ain’t.

al_c says at post#10 ... Last election, I voted against him (Medina).

Nice of you to ignore the remainder of my post (which was my main point) .... if comes down to Perry v. Obama, the choice is a no-brainer.

And, the Democratic Party of JFK was far less liberal than the Democratic Party of the late 1980s.

That may be true but FDR was about as socialist as one could be and Reagan voted for him.

Perry was never a liberal and was the sort of conservative Democrat from the South that converted to the Republican party in droves because of Reagan.

Nice try, but there is nothing in Perry’s resume’ to suggest that he is anything but a political opportunist. His core values were those of the liberal democrat party (not a more conservative Kennedyesque democrat party) until he saw that the political future in Texas was not Yarborough liberalism but Republican conservatism.

His stand on amnesty indicates that he has not had a true conversion, but is just trying to please voting constituencies, like in Texas the service industry and the hispanic vote.

He can drop the jobs created line too. Governments do not create jobs - they can only destroy them. Left alone the American people and economy will create wealth and prosperity. That is why Reagan was so successful - he didn’t create government programs - he got government out of the way.

Perry personally forcefully injected a million Texas girls with something that wasn’t even a vaccine, but was merely a low-grade tequila that was driven right through the open boarder of TexMexico on a highway built by an international cadre of Build-A-Bear members, all of which have great hair.

Rick Perry is Bill Clinton’s and George W. Bush’s cloned voodoo child. He has Slick Willy’s slickness and G. W.’s thickness and he’ll be bumbling from lefist to conservative and back to leftist positions for four years.

I’m sorry LPFOKETT GAHCOEEP-w/o*,

I forgot this was Friday and wasted it working. I won’t let it happen again.

While walking down the street one day, a senator is tragically hit by a truck and killed. His soul arrives in
Heaven and is met by St. Peter at the entrance.

“Welcome to Heaven,” says St. Peter. “Before you settle in, it seems there is a problem. We seldom see a high official around these parts, you see, so we’re not sure what to do with you.”

“No problem, just let me in,” says the senator.

“Well, I’d like to, but I have orders from higher up. What we’ll do is have you spend one day in Hell and one in Heaven. Then you can choose where to spend eternity.”

“There’s no need! I want to be in Heaven,” says the senator.

“I’m sorry, but we have our rules.” And with that, St. Peter escorts him to the elevator, the doors open, and he rides the elevator down, down, down. When the doors open again, the senator finds himself in the middle of a beautiful green golf course. In the distance is a club, and standing in front of it are all his friends and other politicians who had worked with him.

Everyone is very happy and in formal dress. They run to greet him, and they reminisce about the good times they had while getting rich at the expense of the people. They play a friendly game of golf and then dine on lobster and caviar.

Also present is the Devil, who is a very friendly guy who has a good time dancing and telling jokes. They are having such a good time that, before the senator realizes it, it is time to go. Everyone gives him a big hug and waves while the elevator rises. The elevator goes up, up, up, and the door reopens in Heaven where St. Peter is waiting for him.

So 24 hours pass with the senator joining a group of contented souls moving from cloud to cloud, playing the harp and singing. They have a good time and, before he realizes it, the 24 hours have gone by, and St. Peter returns.

“Well, you’ve spent a day in Hell and another in Heaven. Now, you must choose where you want to spend eternity.”

He reflects for a minute and then answers, “Well, I would never would have thought it, I mean Heaven has been delightful, but I think I would be better satisfied in Hell.”

So Saint Peter escorts him to the elevator, and down, down, down he goes into Hell. Now, the doors of the elevator open, and he is in the middle of a barren land covered with waste and garbage. He sees all his friends dressed in rags, picking up the trash and putting it in black bags. And it’s hot, hot, hot, and the odor is just horrible.

Sweltering hot. Hot and miserable. The Devil comes over to him and smoothly lays his arm around his shoulder.

“I don’t understand,” stammers the senator. “The day before I was here, and there was a golf course and club, and we ate lobster and caviar and danced and had a great time. Now all there is is a wasteland full of garbage, and my friends look miserable.”

The Devil looks at the senator, smiles, and says, “Yesterday we were campaigning. Today you voted for us.”

Perry must be destroyed because of this interview with w Spanish language channel

As governor, how do you deal with them (illegals)? Do you think they all should be deported?

There is no way that in the US we would roundup every illegal immigrant -there are about 12 million of the illegal immigrants- not only economically is that just an impossibility but that's not a humane way anyway to deal with the issue that we face with illegal immigration.

Do you then favor an amnesty for the 12 or 13 million undocumented immigrants?

No, I do not. I do not. Not total amnesty. You know, people have got to follow the rules. They've got to follow the bar, and we have got to make sure that there is equal opportunity and those who are here legally should be first in line for services being provided and those opportunities that this great country provides.

To clarify, so you support a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants?

I do because I understand why people would want to be in America. To seek the safety and prosperity, the opportunities, the health that is here. It is so important that yes, people follow the rules so that people can be treated equally and fairly in this country.

Nice try, but there is nothing in Perry’s resume’ to suggest that he is anything but a political opportunist.

Nothing other than his record, which is about 90% conservative.

He can drop the jobs created line too.

Given that Texas has created half the jobs in the nation since Obama took office, I don't that will happen. And, it is the pro-business policies of Perry and the state of Texas that created those jobs. Denying all that makes you as irrational as a slug at the Daily Kos.
