I owned a lot of Brit bikes back in the 60’s. Triumph, Matchless, BSA, AJS, JAP, Norton. Always wanted a Vincent Black Shadow.

I rode a 2007 Bullet and it was like being transported back to the 50’s.
Kick start
Drum brakes
Point ignition
Tires with tubes
Mild steel welded frame.
22 horsepowers!
One thing different...It didn’t spray oil all over my legs.
For $5,000, it pretty expensive for a motorcycle made in India.
They make a diesel version that I’d like to try.

I know that the Enfields are under powered for modern roads.
But I love that they still exist.
They start to slinging oil into the carb at 60 mph and they got no suspension on a Mt dirt road at 12k feet, but they are neat neat neat.

I have a couple of older Hondas, a 1980 CX 500 Deluxe with a Vetter Vindicator fairing, completely overhauled and modernized with electric fan cooling, HID headlight and LED running lights. The other one I picked up this summer and have yet to go through it, so far just the carbs need cleaning but its a screamer, its a 1983 Honda CX 650 Custom, only made in one year, its actually 674cc and runs like a raped ape. My next one I hope will be the turbo version.

I am kicking myself for not buying a fully restored Matchless 500 with side car for 1.2K in the 80sI only had one Matchless, a 650 twin. The 500 was a one lunger with mountains of torque.
