So what. They had the “public” help them (the media) go through 24 thousand of her emails, hoping to find dirt, and all they found was that she’ was a very engaged, thoughtful governor who actually cared about the people of Alaska!

Too bad we might never get to know who funded that pervert McGinniss to set up camp in a rented lake-front house 30 feet from the Palin house and set up surveillance of the Palin children’s windows.

Did Glen Rice claim he had a relationship or one night stand with Palin? No he said no such thing

Plus you didn’t even read what was said... RH doesn’t want it’s lawyers and their correspondence exposed, they will most likely end it before it even got off of the ground

whatever! You need to read McGinniss private email to Jesse Griffin and what that means legally, that even the leftist media cancelled appearances with him because of legal potential trouble, the discovery phase is damning for RH

I am still wondering if there is much more at RH. I wonder if some of the emails lead up to the White House. Their relationship with Obama is well established.

"Sarah has Random House by the balls and she can squeeze very hard if she wants to"

$25million and a public retraction...retraction of every point on her list...with a promise to fire everyone involved, named, should be sufficient.

If she offers this, they will settle.

It's cut and dry.

To top it off, NOBODY IN ANY MEDIA ORGANIZATION will ever mention any of the specifics of the book...and it will be pulled from the shelves, never to be seen again.

Every new airing of the lies warrants another suit of even greater monetary value.

Someone mentioned that earlier! RH has a lot of liberals there and i wouldn't be surprise that DNC or WH is connected in some way...they have been probably pushing a lot of the smears against Sarah in the past behind the scenes no doubt

I vote no on suing. Lawsuits take over your life and not in a good way.
.......................

Translation: Hey everybody, get your free shots on Palin....no penalty, no fines, no backlash. Oh, you might get some temporary heat from the bizz or conservatives but as long as you get some street cred with the libs (and cashed the advanced check) you’re fine.

Sounds like the bogus etheics complaints which almost drove her to bankruptcy.

Even if the emails DO lead up to the White House...what’re they gonna DO about it?

Remember who runs the Dept. of Justice.

Unless SOMEHOW that tidbit gets out to the public (IF it’s true and it very well may be), which MSM outlet is going to tell anyone? How is it going to get disseminated to the voting public? WE the Patriots suspect the DNC and Barry the Boob to LIKELY be behind it all. How would we convince the public?

IF it leads to O-Crap and his merry band of sycophants, THEN can we march on DC with torches, pitchforks, and various instruments of destruction? I’m getting tired of this...

Just think if discovery uncovered RH and JM correspondence with political figures of a certain persuasion. that would be so juicy. But doubt if RH would be willing to run that risk.

I’d much rather Sarah go all the way to trial with this. This is about more than money. I’m am hoping this goes through massive amounts of discovery.

They sure as hell will not settle prior to discovery. After the discovery phase, maybe, but probably not. If her case is a good as Mark Levin thinks, she won't settle, she will make an example of every one of them, then she will win, hands down.

The question will be what does Sarah want out of this? I would think she could have whatever she wants. Good for her. Sarah and her family deserve everything they can get out of these fools!

Maybe she won’t offer a deal.

Maybe she wants to drag them through the courts and make them give her all their files, letters and email pertaining to McGuiness. Some of which will likely be incriminating.

Maybe she wants to break them.

Legally, The Palin family has Random House and Joe McGinniss is a terrible legal bind.

A polite, lawyerly way of saying she has em' by the short hairs!

"What a stupid, stupid post"

It's not a stupid post...and one has to wonder about the lack of knowledge of those that so contend.

If Glen Rice is deposed and says it happened, if the business partner is deposed and says it happened...the most scurrilous of the allegations will have been at least partially proven.

Truth IS an ABSOLUTE defense...especially if the person is a public figure. If it happened, RH and the author are off the hook 100%.

Are you assuming they have something to hide? What if they do not and there is no proof of such allegations? Who winds up looking the fool then?
