It is beautifu. We’ll never be “lush” but I wish hubby didn’t have to time our watering to the minute...only 2 nights a week....or get a fine. :(

Dat’s right!
I think you would have liked being here with me today.
It was a cold, blustery rainy day.
I fired up the kitchen cookstove and had the tea kettle whistling merrily.

I had two small apple trees on the property that had not been producing fruit, and I was thinking about cutting them down.
This year, they produced more apples than they ever have!
(Maybe they overheard me)

I made a pie with apples from my own trees, and that was so cool!
I don’t know if it’s my imagination, but that pie is super good!
The kitchen was cozy and warm and fragrant, you would have loved it!
I’m having some Orange/Darjeeling tea and pie right now.
Would you john Me?

That sounds so lovely, and you are right! I would have loved being there with you. I can almost hear the crackling of the logs and smell the apple fragrance wafting on the air. mmmm.

I will join you with some tea and a nice slice of that pie...and we'll chat about this and that and plan our wardrobes for the shoot in 3 weeks.

3 WEEKS!!! :)

Oh, thank you, Luv!
Yes, it it beautiful here
But,don't forget
I cried for THREE years
When I left the place you live right now!

It is not just the scenery,
But, the BEAUTIFUL people that surround you.

Now - if I could just put some beatuiful people like you
In this Sedona Sunset graphic
it would be perfect!

Pull up a chair, girls!
Don’t mind me kitchen!
Martha Stewart ain’t gonna lose any sleep over my housekeeping!
That old cookstove has been with me for better than 30 years!
The little beige stove in the background was on the side of a street in Portland during clean-up week.
We snagged it!
LOL
It is from the early 1900s, and we had it converted to propane.

Don't mind if I do.

I love cozy, comfy kitchens! And, old cookstoves are better at what they do than anything we have these days.

I remember bringing my grandmother wood for the kitchen stove for the best meals available!

I have always said...if you're comin' to inspect my home, don't bother to visit! I'd never pass a white glove test...lol.

Awwww....you are so sweet, Yorkie! I would LOVE it if we
were neighbors, whether in Sedona or in Odessa....since I
don’t live in Midland, but it’s close enough, right? :D

“I have always said...if you’re comin’ to inspect my home, don’t bother to visit! I’d never pass a white glove test...lol. “
Hee hee!
I LOVE it!
I’m gonna adopt that phrase!

That old cookstove has kept us warm on many, many nights when we lost the power due to winter storms.
We would never had made it through the ice storm of ‘98 without it.
We were without electricity and phone, etc., for 12 days!

Just to give you some idea what the ice storm of '98 was like.
