This article falsely begins with the premise that hidden plot twists actually exist in movies today. Writing has becomes so predictable, every major event in a film can be asssumed or deduced in the first 10 minutes.
There are a few exceptions: Inception. Even after viewing a revealing trailer for the film, you still cannot grasp its depth until watching it in its entirety and putting all the puzzle pieces together.
I submit the problem isn't revealing trailers but film writing with nothing to be revealed.
