Who won the debate?
I hate to say it but Romney was very strong!
Cain by a country mile.
As a Cain supporter, I would have to say Romney will get the most bump from that debate (as a means of identifying “winner”)....
Simply because he seemed to be the center of everyone’s attention, and got the most air-time... and held together with firmness... iow, he defended himself well.
NPR manipulated the debate so much that it is difficult to draw much of a real conclusion.
I didn’t watch but I was watching answers on twitter.
I think this debate leaves me needing to go to the candidates individual websites and look at their plans in detail.
Cain, Romney, Bachmann, Newt, and Perry did okay. The rest not so much.
There was no real debate tonight. It was more a round table discussion with no winners.
Wrongney.
Who won? The Republicans
>>> Cain by a country mile.
Cain is still my candidate... he still looked the most presidential, and had the best answers...
But he lost his opportunity to hammer Romney when he had it.
That softball he threw at Romney was disappointing to say the least.
newt.
cain.
Oh, I haven’t heard anything new from the same group which could sway me...the most important thing is I still hate and always will Obama.
Mr Cain was far and away the most presidential, but lacked content. All he had going for him was 999.
I loved the idea that to raise the 9’s would take a 2/3 vote though.
The real question is whether Gov. Perry did well enough to slow down his free fall.
Republican Candidates ...One
Obama...........................Zero
Romney won. Had good command the entire debate.
Cain did a good job but he needs to be more of a politician and a less of a businessman and speak a little longer before cutting himself off because he makes a lot of good points.
Perry was weak in the beginning, but came on strong in the end. Didn’t hurt himself but didn’t help himself either.
Newt, once again, came off as “the smartest guy in the room”.
The others don’t matter.
Unfortunately, the Tigers have taken the lead in the 7th.
I liked the topic and setting.
Newt did a great job also.
It’s hard to really find a true front runner, but this debate was a goldmine of info.
