The Gray's law problems started when they stepped on some enforcer's toes. You get crossed up with small town law, and they are going to try and pin something on you.

This is one of those things that would never have happened had government just left them alone.

I’m a little jealous of their guts ...and their fishing hole, gardens, and all but its their idealistic toughness that is really admirable. They have what I lack.

I had almost forgot about Mr.Gray and his clan!

They live down the road about 15 miles from me and I all but completely forgot about them!lol!

I may have to do a drive by and see if they still have the signs up.

Thanks for posting this.

I had family involved in Kings Mountain. On the American side, that is.

I must admit, what really got me was the homemade holsters.

Awesome work, and by hand!

Yep, I reckon if one is a clueless reporter, commercial belts/holsters made from cow hide could have been classified as “hand made from animal skins”! HAW

Sounds to me like these folks would make good neighbors...no problems, no nosiness/gossip, no loud parties, no drugs, no burglars (from their side of the fence anyway) and I could use their shooting range for target practice!

I went back and read the whole article. The authorities should leave these folks alone! So Chuck Norris actually visited the compound and tried to offer assistance.

They owe back taxes. Luckily, apparently the authorities are really afraid of the grandpa and his gun totin’ relatives.

I admire this family very much. More power to them.
