#1640 was for everyone *sigh*. I can tell what kind of day this is going to be...lol.
VERY appropos for today! No snow but it is colder than I can handle and we have no heat! I'll survive but my hands are not liking me right now...lol.
It takes longer for the file clerk in my brain to find the information I need. There are so many stuffed filing cabinets in my mind. Goes with the territory I suppose.
Remember Art Linkletter wrote a book titled,
“OLD AGE IS NOT FOR SISSIES”?
True. It begins earlier in some of us.
Another powerful message from Our Daily Bread, Rus. Those words spoke directly to me today as we face life’s tribulations.
Please accept our heartfelt sympathy and prayers for your family.
Prayers for you and your wife in these trying times!
Amen geo...Amen!
Hope your day is progressing well!
Prayers for the entire Just family!
Afternoon Amy.
It’s been a busy busy weekend. Yesterday we had a Great Family Gathering at our daughter’s house. Sisters were here along with numerous neices and nephews and their families. 50 relatives joined the celebration with lots and lots of food, white elephant gift exchange and great fellowship. Three of the boys decided to take a dip in the pool and hot tub. It was the first time since 1980 that we had one of these Big Family Gatherings and all that wonderful food.
Today the Christmas decorations are coming down to be stored til next year. Took the Christmas tree out to the curb and it left a trail of fir needles across the carpet to the front door.
Dr appt tomorrow and chemo on Thursday if my numbers are good on the blood tests.
OLD AGE IS NOT FOR SISSIES
I remember all the chuckles that book brought...thinking I had plenty of time...hah! It was here before even I realized it! Time really does fly!
Hope the antibiotics work and you’re much better soon!
Pool must have been nice and warm. Getting out...ehh..not so much! lol
Don't you just luuuv cleaning up those needles? ;)
Hope your numbers are back to or above minimum and the treatment can continue. Prayers all goes well!
Very pretty, Amy, and a great poem to match, Bob. Thanks to both of you!
That favors me today, Amy....LOL! I was more tired today than I was yesterday, the day after Christmas. I haven’t done a whole lot today. I took 2 short naps and it felt good!
My niece and her hubby are coming up from Mississippi. My son is going to take her husband hunting for deer! So they have plans for that. They will be staying at my son’s house (thank goodness) but Deb will come see me. We plan to all go out to eat at least one night and maybe twice. So I have to neat up the house again tomorrow.
I still have my decorations up and plan to keep them up until the first! The reason I keep them up is because I love them so. After I work so hard to get that job done, I’m not anxious to tear it down. I turn everything on every evening and cut them off around 9:30!
Sorry to hear of Mrs. Mayor’s brother passing and also that she lost her uncle. Remembering you both in prayer. Its so sad at Christmas when we lose loved ones.
Very pretty, teenie! I enjoy your “Gratituesday’s” very much.
I sure do hope your numbers are good and you can continue with the chemo, Dave. We all will keep you in our prayers! And let us know when you can!
I use that saying about once a week, teenie. And it sure is the truth....gotta get tougher as we get older, that’s for sure!
