They felt in retrospect that they used the save too early last year. They have to reserve it for someone who has a chance of winning. Van Pelt had no shot.
This is an exceptionally strong year with 5 or 6 contestants who would have been in the Top 2 most other years. It's talent on the level of Season 5.

Here is the PR from the creator of the pin. I don’t even understand the word flossed in this sentence:
“Another custom pendant by VonRay was flossed tonight by Randy Jackson on American Idol.It was a pin of his face wearing Green glasses!”
A lot of plaque and dust can get trapped between the Legos and beads. He probably took out his flosser during the commercials.

At first I was really scared that they didn’t make the bars close enough together and Haley would escape through them. But then they just lifted the cage off her and she was free. I think under all those curly locks she was singing in her obnoxious growly way. I never liked her and her huge attitude.
