Look I’m just being realistic. Newt will not play in the Northeast or Midwest. He is the epitome of inside political sleez. He really seemed off to me. Everyone thinks differently. But watch the tape he turned around clearly disturbed by someone in the audience. A child I think but he is angry You may think he is happy but he is not.
Newt swings for the fences. He always has.
You make valid points and I certainly think Perry would be a strong VP candidate. However, given his past history, I think Newt will want to make history and pick either a female or an African-American to be his running mate. He will look for a strong campaigner and someone who can bring him a few points in all states. He understands the demographic game and has a history of bold and brash moves.
We will see. Regardless, it is a great day to see Romney lose by 14 points when he was “supposedly ahead” just a few weeks ago.

I catch some grief for the moniker, which goes back to the Bush administration. Before that network decided their role as journalists consisted of polishing the executive loafers.

Newt was just about perfect in his victory. And speaking of perfect, I do wish Calista would muss up her hairdo a bit. But then maybe I’m jealous since my hairdo is usually a mess.

CNN reports on the Florida map based on conservative regions, moderates, etc. Newt is changing minds in Florida just like he did in South Carolina! I am so happy to have seen their live little polling group of Floridians, who increasingly see Newt as more electable!
CNN also reported that the Establishement will be coming out BIG now for Romney and will be seen propping up Santorum in an effort to slow Newt and his momentum. This I believe translates into a little cash for Rick Bachmann-Huckabeeee, enough to trim the numbers against Newt.
I don’t think Newt will have as tough a time as people might think.

Florida’s biggest demographic is the seniors, the same group most likely to vote.
They don’t want obamacare or the person who was the orginal architect for it.
I’d be looking for Newt’s ads in Florida to be hammering on this point more than anything.
