Here are the Romneybots that Drudge hired earlier in the year. The both of them are destroying Drudge's site and reputation.

Joe Curl

Charles Hurt

Yes, it’s been a hit job ever since Newt’s first surge in the polls back in November December time frame. Every misleading headline, every un flattering picture, everything he can do - it’s really amazing that Drudge would risk his reputation for this. What kind of hatred he must have.

The more the GOP establishment rips Newt, the stronger his support will grow. They honestly don’t have a clue that this primary is a referendum on their timid stupidity.

Drudge may be a Romneybot, but it does appear that the headline is pretty accurate.

And frankly, I think Rubio is right about this. The race has turned into each of them trying to see who can burn down the other's house fastest. As much as I don't like Romney, I'd still vote for him in a heartbeat over Obama.

Of course, this crud was all started by Romney in Iowa. But at this point, there are enough substantive differences between these two guys on legitimate issues that they don't need to do this bloodletting, and it is damaging our chances of taking down Obama in November.

One of those guys needs to pick up the phone, call the other, and call a truce on the personal shots.

I always felt that way when Governor Perry was Drudge’s headline. Especially when the headline was just something said by former talk-show host Herman Cain. I never got much comfort or support for my dismay. Everyone seemed to feel as though candidates are fair game. Not having a dog in this particular hunt, I’ve come to believe that too. I’m glad I’m finally on the side of fairness.

I’m done with Drudge. It used to be the Home page on my laptop, no FR is.

His site has become a Romney propaganda site.

If this latest "hit job" on Newt is anywhere near as effective of his last "hit job" of outing the ABC News interview of his ex- just before the South Carolina debate, then Newt will not even have to wait until Super Tuesday to have the nomination effectively sewn up.

It may not be Drudge's intention, but Newt owes him big time.

Here’s another person rooting for Romney... it’s Newt himself:

Newt condemns Romney for not being humanistic regarding deported illegals. I guess we can count on Newt for being humanistic to them. Thanks, Newt, for telling us your new stance on illegal immigration.

The question is: How the heck did we get stuck with a choice between Newt and Mitt? Absolutely Pathetic.

It's best for everyone that Newt get hit hard now, not later in the general election. If he is sufficiently strong and agile, he will overcome the angry press against him and emerge totally vetted and ready for Obama.

I don’t think Drudge is big Newt fan, but I don’t think he is on the establishment bandwagon on the issue. I just think he’s just relaying the GOP establishment’s nonsense when they put it out there. If Drudge wanted to go after Gingrich, there’s ton of material out there that he could rehash every single day, if he chose to do so.

I knew Drudge wasn’t a Gingrich fan not by the first story I read about him on his site, but by the pictures he was posting of him. Granted Newt probably wouldn’t win any “beauty” contests, but really, Drudge seems to find the worst pictures possible. With Romney all that’s missing is the halo above his head.
