Saral Palin says Newt is the toughest fighter of the candidates

Based on what? Failure is not a great yard stick to use for future results. Does anyone want to actually beat Milt or is this all a game?

Based on Gingrich being known as one of the greatest fighters in conservative history.

I can’t imagine someone who lived through the history making 1994 conservative revolution, forgetting that incredible national onslaught against it’s leader, Newt Gingrich, until Palin, we had never seen anything like it.

I still have boxes of publications and newspapers from the time, the rage from the left was terrifying, people died, were destroyed, the federal government was killing people and burning them out in the Midwest, and in what had previously been “flyover country”, the heartland.
The left was sending a message to middle America, that they were not outside the reach of Government and the new policies. Middle America was to be taught that their God, and guns, and tax complaints, and conservative rebellion would not be tolerated, the 1990s became a dark period of open war by the hard left as led by the Clintons, and the conservatives led by Newt Gingrich.

The media was as radical as sharks smelling blood, and Newt as the opposition leader, was it’s biggest target.

That’s a good question you ought to ask about your own candidate. But you and I both know your support with him has nothing to do with his platform or anything he stands for.

To totally dismiss the history and accomplishes of Newt Gingrich is simply something I cannot fathom. It must be an extreme level of bias that basically has primed you just to be an attack robot against him. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a post by you that was actually positive about Saint Rick and explained WHY we ought to vote for him. Your retort is basically “Well Newt is an SOB”. It ends right there.

Rick has the non Romney vote, along with the Rush bump. He hasn't even been vetted and you expect people to play the game to get out the vote for this man. You guys are acting like the establishment who we are trying to defeat..the idea of trying to drag us through the keyhole when it absolutely makes no sense to do so. Talk about intolerance to different ideas. Certainly, you do not go to your neighbor and pound in their faces because they do not support Rick, as you seem to be doing to us. The thread was to share the video in which she gave Newt praise.

While I will vote for Newt in the Georgia primary here, I am not deluded enough to believe that he is the 'toughest' fighter of the candidates. He has an excellent academic command of historical political rhetoric, he has a very good ability to think quickly in some venues, and he occasionally can excel in one-on-one debates that don't hamper him - but he is not in control of any venue; and he won't be so fortunate to have a "Lincoln-Douglas" style debate any time during this year.

What disappoints me most is his whining about other candidates ganging up on him or not 'playing fair' and putting out untrue campaign ads. I'd like to speak to him personally and tell him to 'nut up' and take it like a man and fight with ideas. Letters from his lawyers to media outlets don't do it for me, frankly.
