Be honest, you're running Windoze 95, aren't you?

No Johnny. I really am running XP SP3.
To tell you the truth I almost committed ritual suicide a few weeks back. Take a minute and follow along.
PC kept shutting down. Couldn’t get it to restart no matter what I did. I’d press the power button, it would start to power up, then click off.
I noticed that the longer it sat off the further along the boot process it got before it clicked off.
I opened the machine and check things out. I noticed a metal bracket laying in the bottom. I pulled the cooling fan tunnel out (the plastic chute that pulls air across the CPU) and found the heat sink leaning out away from the mother board!
Well, the CPU was overheating and shutting down! The plastic bracket that screws on to the mother board had lost two of the ears where the heat sink clips clip on to.
Well, being the mechanically inclined person I am I decided to fix it. Long story longer: I modified the plastic mount. This caused me to have to modify the heat sink because the clips would no long clip to the original places. I cut the heat sink with a hack saw to make room for the clips, etc.
Put it all back together and WHAM! Works like a champ and has been ever since!
How can I give up such a fine, reliable, OLD machine?

That was about three or four PC's ago for me.
