Democrats quick to use quote to accuse Romney of being out of touch By Mark Russell, Newser Staff
(Newser) Mitt Romney's attempts to show he's just a regular guy continue to go awry. At an appearance at the Daytona 500 yesterday (which was rained out for the first time in history), Romney was asked by an AP reporter if he follows NASCAR. "Not as closely as some of the most ardent fans. But I have some great friends who are NASCAR team owners," he replied.
No big surprise that Democrats were quick to use the sound bite to paint Romney as out of touch with regular voters because of his extreme wealth, reports CBS News. "I don't know people who fish but I know people who own yachts," joked one Democratic Party operative on Twitter. The remark comes just a few days after a flub in Michigan, where he noted his wife drives "a couple of Cadillacs."
Nope, let’s not give them ammo for their campaign.
I know you understand that TKC.
This was after BJ left office, but it was a FR thread I posted, the most replies I’ve ever had on a thread, LOL.

The talking head comedian circuit was ridiculing the notion of nascar as a sport. (those effetes probably could not drive a prius without wearing depends)
The puzzling factor has been how many basketball and other sport paid athleates are solid democrats. Are they so stuck on stupid that they don’t realize they will lose everything to their favored politician?
