Nope, because I can’t count on Romney buying it sometime during his term and leaving Gingrich as president.

The VP is just a figurehead as far as I’ve ever been able to tell.

I'm voting for the (R).

I don't hate any of the Republican candidates. I don't love any of the Republican candidates. I want Obama out of office.

It’s going to be a Romney/Santorum ticket.

You heard it here first. Please congratulate me come August.

No. Gingrich as Romney’s VP wouldn’t improve things any more than Gingrich as the kenyan’s VP. A socialist is a socialist no matter what his accessories look like.

No. The GOP needs to learn the base won’t accept a liberal as the nominee.

No. While I could vote for Newt, coupling him with Romney, especially as VP, leaves no control over Altbama.

Whether we “like” it or not, Romney WILL be the nominee.

Maybe, maybe not. It looks like 1,144 is getting harder to reach.

I think some of you “conservatives” are so blinded you’d vote for Satan instead of Obama.

They are literally selling their souls for a Pyrrhic victory.

I said the same thing. I will not go to the polls again holding my nose with one hand, and a barf bag in the other. These elitist establishment Republicans have run their course. They’ve pushed it one election too far! Bye, Republican Party!!

Speaking of Romney being toxic...Forget Romney being the ‘white horse’, he is closer to the pale horse...

When the Lamb opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, “Come and see!” I looked and there before me was a pale horse! Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following close behind him. (rev. 6:7-8)

WAAAIIIT a minute! I'm NOT a Romney fan by any means. Good grief. IF Romney gets the nom (and yes, I think he will, sorry) we have to deal with that reality. So my point is how do we make lemonade out of lemons?

We can navel gaze until the cows come home, but the delegates are who they are. They are voting as we speak. If they don't like Romney let them vote him down.

McCain was disaster for a lot of reasons, the biggest being his absolute refusal to go after Obama. But for some reason, the delgates went for him. And we were stuck.

We turn the “Tea Party” into a REAL party and let the GOP die the death it deserves if they keep trying to shove Romney at us.

I find it very ironic that the grandson of a man who left the US to escape polygamy laws and had slaves, wants to head up the party that was FOUNDED to do away with Mormon polygamy and slavery.

We don’t make lemonade out of Romney.

What we do during the general election is obvious. It’s juvenile to say “I’ll sit home.” Yes, even if it’s Romney we will check the box that says “Liberal RINO.” But only because he is half a degree better than Obama.

The consequences of Romney getting the nomination will be after that. Most of the true conservatives will leave the Republican party. It’s going to happen. We’re done. The party is going to lose ten or twenty percent of its voters, or maybe more over the long run.

Only God knows where things go after that. Something new is created. Time will tell whether it’s good or bad.

There a person on this Earth who, by being VEEP, could make me choke down Romney as the nominee.

romney... gingrich... santorum...

none of them have the juice to bring out enough of the base to matter.
1. romney loses 10-20% of the base by being mormon
2. gingrinch loses 10-20% due to the wife swapping and being old
3. and santorum doesn’t energize people enough to get them out of their seat

the left knows all this and also knows they have a hard leftie that energizes the base so much that even during these times he polls at 40-45% (amazing what kool-aid can do). any polls the left releases stating some gop candidate has a shot is really trying to steer the nomination towards that candidate.

plan accordingly

Same here.
Romney-Gingrich
Gingrich-Romney
Romney-Santorum
Santorum-Romney
Santorum-Gingrich etc

Any would be fine. Anything would be better than The Big 0
raising his right hand to take another four year term
come 1/20/13.
