Sanford, Florida (CNN) -- President Barack Obama spoke out Friday for the first time on the growing national controversy over the shooting of an unarmed black teenager in Florida, saying Friday that the incident requires national "soul-searching."

"When I think about this boy, I think about my own kids," Obama said. "

Without reading its context, but well aware of the zeitgeist, it seems that this miserable excuse for a chief executive has outdone even his own self in racist demagoguery with a remark like that.

He’s really stoking the fires of hate. Meanwhile, Farrakhan is trying to start something. This is unbelievable. How I wish every murdered child had the President being so vocal. And let’s not forget about all the murdered babies Obama is okay with having killed.

The Sandra Fluke fiasco was played by Hussein for all it was worth. Now that it’s stale, Trayvon Martin is up next on the list. They will get some mileage out of this, but to execute the plan they need to conceal that the shooter was hispanic, and give people the impression it was an old white guy. Based on the media coverage it seems to be working.

Standard operating procedure for the left. Decisions must be based on how people look, not what they do.

Hey Barry, If you had a son that looked like Trayvon, I would suggest a good divorce lawyer!

There are 15 or 20 thousand murder victims each year, but the media latches on to a couple of them and obsesses about them endlessly. Usually it's a white girl (JonBenet, Natalie). In this case the media may have seen a chance to dust off one of their favorite themes, Southern white racism. Naturally the publicity hounds like Sharpton jump on the bandwagon.

It may be that Obama just realized that this could be an issue to fire up part of his base (like the birth control mandate was a few weeks ago)...or maybe the media was encouraged by the White House to make it a major story.

It's sad that someone died, but the people who are trying to exploit this story don't care about the 99.9% of cases they can't make hay of.

Clinton tried to blame the Oklahoma City bombing on talk radio, presumably hoping to force Rush off the air. Some Democrats are trying to get Rush silenced now because of his comment about Sandra Fluke...and some are trying to make him somehow guilty in the Martin killing. I don’t think he is in any danger of being forced off the air—he survived 1995.
