Check out Tonight's Sky
vanity

Posted on 03/26/2012 6:51:41 PM PDT by Noob1999

Check out tonight's sky!

Hopefully it's clear in your area, and the sharp waning moon has a super bright Venus at its five o'clock; and the very bright Jupitor at its six o'clock and lower in the sky.

Georgeous!

Clear in Alabama! Gazed in awe and appreciate knowing exactly what I was seeing - other than God’s BEAUTIFUL CREATION!

Venus, Jupiter, Mercury, Mars and Saturn were all visible this month if you’d known where to look. Although Venus and Jupiter were the easiest to spot.

Hey, are you listening in on us over here? I had just been hunting the binoculars because I had went out and noticed how beautiful the sky was. :) I always keep the binoculars in one spot and they are not there.

It’s too much trouble to make the mister drag out the telescope and set it up (works graveyard). I don’t mess with the telescope— he gets fussy about his telescope and I don’t want to hear it. :p

Absolutely a gorgeous night sky!

Clear skies here, and the scene is gorgeous! Mars and Saturn also looking good on the other side of the sky. A great night to have a decent set of binoculars!

Yes, beautiful sight here--remarkable how much further apart Venus and Jupiter are compared to a few nights ago.

It's a waxing moon here--are you in the Southern hemisphere?

..........It’s a waxing moon here...........

Thanks - what’s a waxing vs waning moon?? As a lifelong sailor, I should know, but I’ve been too busy looking at my nighttime compass :<)

Saw it - down here in south Texas, and it is just beautiful.
They are just so bright and ‘glowing’.

I always keep the binoculars in one spot. . .

Oops, can't say that anymore.

I’ve seen all but Mercury, ain’t happening here in Dallas.

Mars is very orangey at the moment. I dragged She Who Must Be Obeyed out into the street a couple of weeks ago to see the sky, Venus and Jupiter were quite spectacular. Even from our viewing area.

I just left Spock's birthday party.

Haven't seen anything unusual since then, though...
