BOULDER, Colo. -- With grand designs on minimizing their housing footprint, Christopher Smith and Merete Mueller have spent the last 10 months building the tiny home of their dreams.
"It's 19 feet long wall to wall, Smith said. The interior square-footage is about 125 square feet.
The interior layout consists of a sitting area, kitchen and bathroom. A vaulted ceiling makes room for a sleeping loft that can accommodate a queen-size mattress

"Good on themthe rare sustainability people who are actually attempting to practice what they preach!"
I hear ya', and I've seen this behavior since the 60s (hippie sister and her commune). At some point it dawns on these dopes that a shack won't earn much in equity, and eating and sleeping atop your own excrement, waiting for it to compost is just plain silly. Tofu and bean sprouts actually do taste like crap, and having to live 24/7 within three feet of your "old lady" really gets on your nerves. Within five years, this "tiny house" will become a tool shed behind their 3,000 sf home in the 'burbs. If they're lucky.

It’s on wheels and has a hitch.
That’s a trailer.

Five of those would fit in my media room which is 26 feet high to accommodate the 9 foot by 12 foot screen, and balconies.
I worked real hard to earn it. Risked everything starting a business over a quarter of a century ago.
These underachieving, lazy, entitlement minded watermelons get what they have earned, which is little bit more than nothing.

So what, you wouldn’t permit them to build their small houses for fear that they’ll somehow impose them on everyone?
Can’t have a free country any more in order to keep it a free country, I guess.
To: PowderMonkey
Yep—they’re getting it out of their system now and will likely pamper themselves ever after.

I only have one shed - but I’m thinking about building a second shed.

They will have to rent a hall for a Canasta party, much less for a family reunion.

A 125 sq ft house that cost $20,000 dollars to build with reclaimed materials and 10 months to construct with extra helping hands. Can you say clueless?

Didn’t the Unibomber live in a 12 by 12 shack? And his brother lived in a hole in the ground.
