I heard on the Rush show that more than 1 hour of normal exercise, 3 times a week was bad for your health. Running in the heat would probably count as being a bad thing for ones health.
Waddya mean "unless you're in Canada"? Are you picturing me in my igloo?
No, but since you said it was nice there, I figured it's not 104. That's the National Weather Service number; I guess it's in the sun, but probably not in a parking lot, which might be 110 or more.
Some parts of the state are getting rain, but not us. I started watering the vegetables when I got up at 6:00 this morning, before I even poured a cup of coffee.
It’s 99 out, but the humidity is finally down to 7%. Nice breeze out there though!
You have an igloo? Maybe you could post pix of your decor on your profile page.
One of my colleagues left a message on my answering machine: “Hang up your running shoes. Jim Fixx just croaked.” However, the stats indicated that people who logged more than 25 miles per week were more likely to sustain running-related injuries, so I just limited sessions to between 6 and 7 miles three times a week and was fine. All the races were very early in the morning, and there were hardly any races in July and August, but I liked swimming too, so no problem.
