When I was much younger and we didn’t have a piano in our apartment...I used to go to a local nursing home to practice. Slowly...the residents would gather and I would apologize because I was doing my Hanon finger exercises and trying to play classical music that went slowly... but at the end ... I always gave them a rollicking trip through the Reader’s Digest Album of Best Loved Songs like “Stardust” etc... (my piano teacher only trained me on the classical...but I had the most fun playing Moon River...etc.)
