His name is pronounced ‘doo-mahs,’ but it’ll be properly pronounced ‘dumbass’ once he’s inevitably mauled.

It’s all fun & games until someone loses an eye (and in this case, we know who that someone will be)

This guy is nuts. People are sometimes able to have bonds with animals (if they’ve raised them), but polar bears? No way.

It’s a bear he’s raised from a cub, they’re very smart animals and I doubt the bear would mistake him for a seal.

Sadly, we all know how this will end, and it won't be pretty.

He’s lucky it’s a female. He wouldn’t be alive today if it was a male. Since it is a female he might have another year or so. Just IMHO, of course.

People are sometimes able to have bonds with animals...

That's just it. People bond easily with animals but that is no guarantee that the animal bonds back. To expect otherwise is to live in a Disney cartoon world.

No, he’s not going to mistake him for anything. But everything I’ve ever read says polar bears are singularly incapable of long-term relationships with humans, because of their extreme aggression.

You’re right, it’s always a risk. Not to say it hasn’t been done. I kind of think that, when it happens, it’s God giving us a little glimpse of the way it was in Eden, and the way it will be again one day.

Algie saw the bear
The bear saw Algie
The bear was bulgy
The bulge was Algie.

Looks like the bear is in a leg snare. And they are using the pole to inject a tranquilizing drug into it.
