Well actually, Dr. Beverly Barlowe has been the back story villain since the first episode.
I just remember her from the point they changed the timeline. Didn’t want to confuse somebody that had not been watching for a few years.
She seemed like a relatively minor character in the past but it seems like this (Final)season she will be a major character.
