McCain Goes Nuclear: “Shame On Barack Obama”
BuzzFeed ^ | APRIL 26, 2012 | BuzzFeed Staff

Republicans amp up attacks on Obama for campaigning on Bin Laden's slaying. “Shamelessly turning the one decision he got right into a pathetic political act of self-congratulation,” says McCain.

Here's the Arizona Senator's full statement:

"Shame on Barack Obama for diminishing the memory of September 11th and the killing of Osama bin Laden by turning it into a cheap political attack ad. This is the same President who once criticized Hillary Clinton for invoking bin Laden 'to score political points.'

"This is the same President who said, after bin Laden was dead, that we shouldn't 'spike the ball' after the touchdown. And now Barack Obama is not only trying to score political points by invoking Osama bin Laden, he is doing a shameless end-zone dance to help himself get reelected.

If McCain had shown that kind of fight three years ago, things might be a lot better off than they are now.

In his defense, however, I have to admit that back then nobody had any real conception of how bad Obama was going to be. That’s a pretty lame defense, but I am willing to give him that.

It’s interesting. I am starting to get a sense that there are establishment elements in the country — elite left, right and moderate — that are starting to become very concerned with the way things are trending. When the NYT starts taking potshots at Obama, even mild ones, it’s a strong signal to the established wealthy that their interests are at stake.

The establishment elite, more than anyone else, are utterly dependent on their position in the system. And by that I mean the degree by which they can manipulate political power on behalf of their sponsors and themselves. If Obama upsets the applecart and overthrows the current political order, they go down with it — or a lot of them do, anyhow.

This, cannot be in their best interests, and sometimes you can even get the feeling the people like Pelosi know it. Oh sure, officially he’s still the Wonder Prez... but they have to be getting nervous. Obama really has shown that he plays nasty at a level that is simply not usually done at that strata.

Furthermore, ever action he takes outside of Constitutional authority weakens their Constitutional authority, and lessens the influence of those who look to congress for their share of the loot.

Again, all members of the political elite have an interest in the current political order. Obama’s utter incompetency has brought the nation to ungovernable straits and they have to be worried about restoring equilibrium.

That point might also explain why Sotomayor was so hard on the Obama administration during the recent hearing on Arizona’s immigration law. She’s telling Obama that she is a Supreme Court Justice now, and not his tool or his puppet.

I'm sorry McCain.... Douche bag say , "what"?

He's a politician of the old "two slaps and a kiss" kind. He's just biding his time, making his nut and stumbling around.

Man,there are so many people responsible for screwing up America but I would have to put McCain in the top 25.

I would put him at number two or three responsible for the possible destruction of America. BHO is first, obviously; however, McCain helped get him elected by running an appeasing campaign and then telling a woman what a good family man he is; etc.

That no one raised the possibility that he appeased the Democrats as a reflex action of appeasing the other Communists who kept him captive in then, North Vietnam, was an opportunity missed to get McWimp out in the primaries.

:I have to admit that back then nobody had any real conception of how bad Obama was going to be:

What planet are you from again?

WE all knew how BAD Obama would be.

Speak for yourself.

We all knew WAY before the elections Obama’s Marxist, leftist, racist ties.

Either you just make stuff up as you go along or your memory has been erased.

I cannot blame Obama for getting all that he can out of OBL’s defeat. It is the only positive development for the country in the last three years. I just wish he would give the military more of the credit. After all he was playing golf at the time.

“BY abandoning conservative causes, the GOP is going to look spineless, arrogant, uncharitable and greedy.”

I’d like to think you are correct, Judge.

But the RNC and GOP-E is so stupid that if Romney wins in Nov. and the House stays Republican, they will preen like peacocks and take ALL of the credit for defeating Obama.

The way to get the attention of the GOP is to cut off their funding.,,ie big donors. And that’s not gonna happen anytime soon, IMO.

Conservatives are stuck. We can’t live with em and can’t live without em either...Right now a third party isn’t an option.

“THe electoral map is even a forgone conclusion now that states are becoming entrenched, no matter who the candidate is”

Can you elaborate on this?

No, a lot of us knew even before the election that The Won would dedicate his entire time in office to turning this country into a third-world, socialist dung-heap.

“Shamelessly turning the one decision he got right into a pathetic political act of self-congratulation.” says McCain.

McCain is right about this, of course.

However, doesn’t this same statement kind of describe McCain’s entire career also? I mean how far and one man capitalize on being a POW?

God bless POW’s, but John McCain has turned being a POW into an endless act of self-promotion.

Cannot agree with that statement - Obozo the clown currently sleeping illegally in the people's White House was as honest and anyone could possible be with his intentions to "FUANMENTALLY TRANSFORM AMERICA".

‘Fundamentally Transforming the USA’

I certainly took him at his word.

Anyone who bothered to examine the Messiah knew he would be as horrible as he is. From his illegal presidential candidacy per Art II., Sec. I; U.S. Const. to his 100% Communist upbringing, to his association with Jerimiah Wright (which McCain refused to mention); etc.

McCain has no excuse; however, there may be an explanation. Maybe he carried his appeasing of the North Vietnamese Communists over to the appeasing of the Democrat party which is pretty much the Communist party now.

Not true.

I, as well as many other people new exactly how bad Oba m a was going to be. The fact that McCain couldn't, or wouldn't see it only demonstrates his incompetence.

I got serious bad vibes almost from the moment Teddy Kennedy put his arm around him and it went downhill from there.
The crusade against Bush was setting the stage for Obama.
They played on everyone fears over time...the Patriot Act and the War ( notice how we still have the Patriot act and we got involved in several conflicts above and beyond Iraq.
Then the press overlooked or dismissed everything about Obama’s past. I remember election night Peter Jennings? was joking around with several others about not even having had read Obama’s books.
Thats kind of what is bothering me about Romney. The way he is seemingly getting a pass. One of the worst economic times since the depression and he’s yucking it up about grits and so on.

Barack had his chance to man up, he took a pass in favor of being a community organizer and full time bs artist. McCain walked the talk no matter how stupid he acts at times.
