One person was confirmed dead and around 100 people were injured when a tent collapsed in St. Louis Saturday afternoon. Strong winds were a factor when the tent, located at Kilroy's Bar near Busch Stadium, fell down, critically injuring at least five people, according to local station KSDK.

My car after running right into the storm on I-64.
Oh oh ....
RIP.
Hail or did you hit a moose ?
WOW ... some storm. Assume you’re ok, no personal damage?
The article says the man who died after the tent collapse had a heart attack. No wonder. Am trying to keep up with the critically injured. Sorry day in St. Louis. Prayers for the deceased, injured, and their families.
Guess I can add that as another reason I always carry a sharp knife on my belt. Started carrying one about 15 years ago when I woke up from dreaming my car was in a wreck and seat belt buckle got jammed. The one I carry is strictly for emergencies, so stays razor sharp.
Thus......now I can cut a hole in a collapsed tent, climb thru, get into my pickup, have a wreck, cut the seat belt and then walk home, sit on the patio with a cold drink, get out my Arkansas stone and touch up my blade.
Ahhhh...life is so frigging good in the obama nation.
: )
.
Enjoy it while you can, right after Obama bans guns in his next term he will go after belt knives.
The storm moved through Louisville a couple of hours later and dropped golf ball sized hail during opening night at Churchill Downs.
Sorry to learn of this.
:(
Up until a week ago, I was hoping for hail damage to my roof. I had wind damage to the front half so the insurance only paid for half minus deductible. My new roof went on Monday, and last night I was thinking “sure, now I’ll get it”. Fortunately I didn’t.
It’s been quite some year or two of severe weather.
About fifteen years ago, my wife, daughter and inlaws were on I-70 by Lawrence KS and jagged chunks of ice fell and completely broke out the windshield. They had to stuff coats onto the dash to protect themselves.
Sorry to hear about your car!
I’ve had hail damage with prior tornadoes but was fortunate that it caused dents, not glass breakage.
