Laughing reading that.

It sure would be nice, to somehow include all this honest engagement, in the 2012 Republican ticket.

How about it, Romney?

You get four years. We all pretend to like you. Seems like a reasonable arrangement.

I’d rather see Sheriff Joe as the head of the Border Patrol.

With the growing possibilty of hitlery coming onboard as VP appointee botting out biden, it may be mandatory for Romney to partner up with Palin.

Yeah, yeah we don’t like being stuck with Mitt, but he somehow got it, so if faced with the choice of voting Romney or not voting and having to watch nobama gut America, its no option. One positive thing we can not deny, is Romney really really wants POTUS, not at all like mclame who obviously did not.

It sure would be nice, to somehow include all this honest engagement,

See,.. that's the problem.

There never has been honest engagement from the RINO ruling elite Republicans. They are actually worse than the Marxist Rats, they stab conservative and responsible Republicans in the back FOR the Rats, and hold 'em down while the Rats screw 'em.

That's why extreme socialism makes steady progress and has almost no setbacks in America. The Marxist Rats couldn't do this all by themselves because they couldn't get all Rats elected all the time.

The Rats need these shills or ringers elected by normal Americans to oppose extreme socialism, to turn traitor to their electorate and add enough traitor votes to get the extreme socialist laws over the hump, passed and signed. RINOs are what gets that done, and there is NOTHING "honest" about that.

This is a good start, but drop Romney and move Palin to top of the ticket, then look for a running mate.

No.

Palin should NOT trash herself with the sinking liberal named Romney.
Let the "Establishment Republicans" fall on their own face!

“Yes. I believe Mitt Romney sabotaged Palin, and cost the GOP the election in 2008. There, I said it.”

OK, you said it.

Can you substantiate it in any way?

And why on earth would she accept anyway?

She’s very young, she can run for President on her own even 8 years from now. That might even be better since her kids would be that much older then.

Backstabber Bishop Romney already LED THE ATTACK on Gov. Palin in 2008.

For that attack, WE WILL NEVER SUPPORT ROMNEY. EVER.

FLASHBACK:

The McCain/Palin ticket was up ++4 to 10 pts
in some polls, days prior to Election 2008.
So rather than helping the GOP, Romney and
TeamROMNEY and the RNME (Republican National Media Establishment)
decided …to attack Gov. Palin to throw Election2008.

Romney, and the Van der Sloot RNME RINOs for Obama in 2008

Late in October, The American Spectator's The Prowler revealed:
"Former Mitt Romney presidential campaign staffers…
have been involved in spreading anti-Palin spin to reporters, seeking to diminish her standing after the election.
'Sarah Palin is a lightweight, she won't be the first, not even the third, person people will think of when it comes to 2012,'
says one former Romney aide…
'The only serious candidate ready to challenge to lead the Republican Party is Mitt Romney.
"Some former Romney aides were behind the recent leaks to media, including CNN, that Governor Sarah Palin was a 'diva' and was going off message intentionally."

The Palmetto Scoop reported: "One of the first stories to hit the national airwaves was
the claim of a major internal strife between close McCain aides and the folks handling his running mate Sarah Palin."
"I’m told by very good sources that this was indeed the case and that a rift had developed, but it was between Palin’s people and the staffers brought on from the failed presidential campaign of former Gov. Mitt Romney, not McCain aides."
"The sources said nearly 80 percent of Romney’s former staff was absorbed by McCain and these individuals were responsible for what amounts to a premeditated, last-minute sabotage of Palin."
… aides loyal to Romney inside the McCain campaign, said The Scoop, reportedly saw
that Palin would be a serious contender for the Republican nomination in 2012 or 2016, which made her a threat to another presidential quest by Romney.

"These staffers are now out trying to finish her off ….hoping it would ingratiate themselves with Mitt Romney."

"Who's the Palin Leaker from the McCain Campaign?
National Review Online The publication of a Vanity Fair profile of Sarah Palin
appears to have opened old wounds in the McCain campaign.
... the source of the “Diva” leak was Nicolle Wallace’s husband."

"Peeking Out From the McCain Wreckage: Mitt Romney"

"Someone's got to say it: IS MITT ROMNEY RESPONSIBLE FOR OBAMA'S VICTORY?"

"Vanity: Team Romney Sabotaged Palin and Continuing to Do So?"

"Romney Supporters Trashing Palin"

"Romney advisors sniping at Palin?"

>"McCain in a single moment of having one brain cell, decided on the astoundingly successful governor of Alaska as his running mate."

I disagree. I think he purposefully chose her as the WORST possible candidate.

Boy was he WRONG!

He is a libtard after all.

Romney should a man ... and pull out.
Gov. Palin could find a good VP for herself and the country.

"But the details of the event are more than unseemly
- they may, in fact, be illegal.
Massachusetts's animal cruelty laws
specifically prohibit anyone from carrying an animal
"in or upon a vehicle, or otherwise,
in an unnecessarily cruel or inhuman manner
or in a way and manner which might endanger
the animal carried thereon.

"An officer for the Massachusetts Society
for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals responded
to a description of the situation saying
"it's definitely something I'd want to check out."
The officer, Nadia Branca, declined to give
a definitive opinion on whether Romney broke the law
but did note that it's against state law to have a dog
in an open bed of a pick-up truck, and
"if the dog was being carried in a way that endangers it,
that would be illegal."

I keep seeing a lot of gyrations to either make Romney palatable, or bury him with the trash.

What I don't see is any sort of really organized movement to remove Obama from the White House he sullies and stains every day he remains in office.

While I don't see a viable option at this time, it would be nice to not see what can be perceived as a milling bunch of cattle as our side flails about. If we can't support someone else 9who is actually in the race), then how about spreading beyond FR's borders and shouting to the hills how bad Obama is and why? How many folks just post here and become FR couch potatoes with little to no hope, vs. those who spend time and energy spreading the truth about Obama? The more voices raised, and the more diverse the forums, the better the chance that some will hear and understand and move to the "get rid of Obama" side of the aisle.

It is not about Romney being “palatable” or the other.

It is about the fact that Romney was CHOSEN for you
because he negates everything problematical
about the undocumented antiAmerican tyrant IMAM.

Bad governing.
Ineligibility.
RomneyCARE/ObamaCARE
Turning into a pretzel regarding RomneyMarriage
Flipflopping in General
TARP
Sharia
Ego off-planet
Thinks he is a ‘god’.
History of covering up fraud
History of appointing hyperliberal judges
History of lying to the base, then mutating

... plus Romney has a few other negatives of his own.

Maybe I misread - the post was about why Romney should try to get palin on-board as Veep. I can't think of why one would posit that unless it was desperation to make Romney palatable by adding a truly viable person to the mix.

I am pretty sure I won't vote for Romney (reserve the right to see what the next months uncover), but all the carping and Romney bashing doesn't hurt Obama whit. It seems that more effort needs to be directed at the Prime objective - ousting Obama.

(although there aren’t many examples of VP stepping into the big chair).

Bush I, Gerald Ford, LBJ, Nixon, Truman are five ex-VPs that became President and I could go on.

Being VP is a very good stepping stone to become President, it's not a lock but it's a big help.

I think Mitt would do just about anything to win…but that. And even in the unlikely event he did that particular right thing and offered her the job, why should she accept? What’s in it for her? There’s only one thing Mitt could offer her that would make it worth her while, and I think he’s even less likely to offer her “next” than he is to offer her VP. And I’m not sure I trust either Mitt or the establishment’s ability to deliver her “next”, let alone their good faith. Honestly, I think those guys need her help more than she needs theirs.
