Is this another stupid awareness raising for breast cancer? Sports team seem to do this at the beginnings of seasons. Hockey does it in November. I haven’t seen any sports league do it during playoffs.
Pink hockey stick, why not? Country boy Bubba Watson won the Masters with a pink driver too but baseball and golf are candy-ass sports. It would take a real bad-ass to pull it off in the NHL, someone like John Scott of the NY Rangers for instance.
Sure was...Hamilton finally ditched his purty pink bat and knocked in a few runs later. OTOH; Cruz hit a grand slam with his pink bat.
Can't leave the damn house without having a pink ribbon shoved in my face...if you aren't "aware" of BC by now; you're pretty much dead. Ye gads.
I didn’t see any pink equipment at all.
I did buy a “Hockey Fights Cancer” jersey a while back, but that was purple.
WOW! A story from October 18, 2010. I give you credit for looking for something, even if it’s old news.
And Rick DiPietro sucks! Worst 1st round draft pick EVER!Always getting hurt.

He played 8 games as back up on the Islanders. 3-2-0-3
I'm not quite sure what you said ... but I LIKE it!
It'll be interesting to see if the Wings make some much needed changes during the off-season or "stay pat" as they've been doing since they lost Hossa.
As for Hossa, when he jumped from the Pens’ to the Wings, the Pens took the Cup from us. It was a bad one year multi-mil cash deal IMO.
The Wings are long in the tooth and need some bushy tailed young players, especially aggressive shooters.
I’m a lifelong Islanders fan. No need to rub it in. LOL :)
“The kings of the road, Los Angeles will play for Lord Stanley’s cup for the second time as a franchise after taking down the Western Conference’s top three seeds.”

Watch out East contenders.
Great game last night! Happy that the Kings won!
Looking forward to an LA vs. NY/NJ clash!
East Coast vs. West Coast!
I’m rooting for the Rangers. Looking forward to having #1 in the East lose to #8 in the West.

Hockey Ping!
(let me know if you want on or off the ping list)
Game 1 Wed. May 30th @ 8 PM (NBC)
GO DEVILS!!!!
Kings in 6.
Ditto
I predict Devils in 6 and Marty retires this summer.
Well the NJD are in the same TV market as the Rangers, and with both LA hoops teams gone, this will still be good for the sport. I was hoping for Rangers Kings too but this ain't bad.
