the saliva of the Gila monster lizard helps reduce food cravings
For some reason these stories never mention the name of the first knucklehead to give it a try.........Probably started out as a fraternity prank.

Probably started out as a fraternity prank. No, but it was a really bad blind date.
Gladys was a good kisser, though.

I knew all those years of drinking Gila Monster spit was what kept me slim.
Over ice, with a slice of lime. Yum!

Reptile ping! I was just hearing about this from one of my offspring yesterday, apropos of a discussion about digitalis.

So “ingesting” Gila Monster saliva makes even rats nauseous and unable to eat. What a surprising, but magnificently illuminating, scientific discovery.
Geez, I hope the scientists who forced some poor lab rats to ingest Gila Monster Saliva aren’t getting paid with a grant from the U.S. taxpayers.

It is poisonous to humans, too. I guess if you are dead, you don't have much of an appetite. Would liberal “experts” knock off fatties who consume too much of the earth's resources?/s/ If I was a fattie, I would not let them experiment on me right now. :)

works for me. I’ll be off my feed for some time after that...
