That is so cool. The defense ought to call her as a witness. I highly doubt that Crump. Corey and Co. would want her on the stand. She would either tell the truth and blow their case. Or she would lie like a rug and perjure herself.

I don’t think it will matter much. The one key piece of evidence will be the ballistics trajectory. It should show that the only possible scenario for the shooting was for Zimmerman to be on the ground, with Martin on top of him, being shot from underneath. If the witnesses all of the sudden contradict that physical evidence, then it will be clear they are perjuring themselves.
If Zimmerman’s found guilty, it will be time to march on the jail, old school.
Witnesses that change their story, just neutralize themselves. Possible that the eyewitnesses end up being zero sum, and all that’s left is physical evidence. Still a win for George.
I don't have any handle on the interval between Martin/Crump finding DeeDee, and DeeDee's first public appearance. I agree that speaking to Crump first can be seen as imputing some risk of taint, the bigger risk is that she had access to a series of 911 recordings before she made her first statement.
If you mean that they didn't know she'd been on the phone with Trayvon that day, I'd say a good maybe ... maybe quite probably. But DeeDee claims to have know Trayvon since kindergarten, so I would guess that Tracy and Sybrina had at least a passing awareness of her. I think DeeDee and Trayvon were good friends, but not that they shared the same circles of friends. They weren't "an item," I think everybody but Crump agrees.
I think conservativetreehouse is wrong on that point. I found a different twitter account that much more closely matches a person who felt a substantial affection for Trayvon, and who continued to "help his case" more than a month after the shooting. Diasha's tweets are similar to those of a person who know Trayvon, but didn't have a deep affection. I would guess his circle, of that nature, numbered 10-40 people.
I think it's better than that.
Witness 12 already said she was influenced by the media. Any negative information that came out after the media blitz could be attributed to that. That would also bolster Zimmerman's case that the case has been irrevocably tainted.
Even better - HOW did these witnesses become tainted? Think like a lawyer - they saw the news stories, which came from Sharpton and Jackson, which, in turn, came from Crump and Company. So, how would you show HOW the witnesses were tainted? You'd introduce the stories, and get source of the stories to testify. You could then point out all the lies they told in the press - Crump's ever-changing narrative. You could get the media editors on the stand and ask them why they gave creedence to Jackson and Sharpton, whether they knew about Brawley, Duke, etc. You could ask them whether, based on their years of experience in the news industry, if they would expect these stories would influence public opinion. All your doing is establishing how the witnesses were exposed to misleading information. You also get the race-baiters on the stand, under oath, to admit that the original narrative was wrong.
Her testimony stops before the self defense case begins. She's useless to beat Zimmerman's assertion that his use of force was justified.

The phone records Crump produced have (if I remember) a combination of almost 400 minutes plus texts on the day Trayvon was shot - all to one number (Crump counted each text as if it were a full minute on the phone). For Zimmerman, that phone number is "DeeDee."
Two points. First, the PST thing is an artifact of bad website programming. The words "pacific time" are hardcoded in the html sent to the browser. The times of the calls are NOT hardcoded digits, they are universal time representations that are converted to local time by the local browser. Long story short, the call+log.pdf file is showing FL times.
The other point is that some of those calls overlap, and it is impossible for all of them to be DeeDee. For example, there is a 1-minute incoming call at 7:04, completely contained in the 6:54+18 minute incoming (probably DeeDee) call.
There are also overlapping calls out to North Dade. A 6:45+5 in combination with a 6:46+2. The 6:46-6:48 call is entirely within the 6:45-6:50 window, no matter how you do the rounding.
