The CEO of a Oklahoma Christian publishing firm unleashed some righteous indignation on his staff by firing 25 of them in a meeting punctuated with insults and prayer.
Describing himself wanting to be 'a perfect mix of mercy, grace and justice,' just like Jesus, Tate Publishing CEO Ryan Tate decided 'now's the time for a little bit of justice.'
Secretly recorded by an irate employee, Tate began his meeting with a group prayer before tearing into his staff calling them 'morons' and 'idiots', whilst he himself takes the Lords name in vain within the first two minutes of his speech.

Based in Mustang, Ryan Tate had become upset about the contents of an email circulated anonymously to staff over the Memorial Day weekend questioning why he was laying off workers in the United States at the expense of outsourced jobs in the Philippines.
Calling a meeting after the holiday, Tate asked for one member of the assembled to lead a prayer that implored, 'reasonable decisions'.

That’s why. No other reason needed. He’s a greedy SOB that wants to live and have the benefits of the US but doesn’t want to contribute to it by conducting business within it.
I listened to most of the audio at the source, and didn’t notice anything in particular that made this boss a bad one. Just saw someone concerned about his company’s situation, and taking steps to remedy that. What am I missing here?
It sounded like the meeting was opened with a prayer...which is his right....and yours not to pray if you dont want to.
He didnt insult his workers, they were insulted by the truth of their actions. Violating the contract they signed, by doing the things they did....and getting caught...Thats STUPID and you are an IDIOT if you think the boss will still want you working for him without some form of contrition.
Some employers still actually put value in loyalty and a good work ethic.
Life aint fair.
We Christians are just broken down sinners and hypocrites that sometimes admit that they are.
He is the business owner. He can (should be allowed to) hire or fire who he chooses for any reason he chooses. His customer base will decide his success or failure.

Of course, there is the real possibility that the guy is not a Christian at all but someone attempting to make money by fleecing the gullible. Only God knows his heart.

I know that we have all worked for some "real winners" in our days, and it has taken me a long time to grasp the meaning of Matthew 20 V1-16.
But it has lowered my frustration level immensely.
A lot of Christians separate work from sin, they see making money as not part of the Christian area as long as it is legal. Sex sin they can see with neon lights flashing, but business sin doesn’t really exist, it is just business (and legal).
